Dearly beloved,
So… I finally finished my audiobooks for the Camino de la Luna series. Yes, Reconciliation (Part 2) is now available on Audible (and will be arriving in all other good audiobook stores.) https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/Camino-de-la-Luna-Reconciliation-Part-2-Audiobook/B0CT97VV3T?
One of the things I’ve loved about doing these audiobooks is that I have to read them back – out loud even – then listen as I edit – then listen again as I do the final post production. And every time I hear again what I learned a few years ago and what I need to remember, be taught, over and over again.?It would be so easy if these spiritual principles, or even the fear of success stuff that I’m teaching would just stay taught – but it’s like cleaning the house, doing the laundry, making the bed, going for a walk, doing Zumba – it’s something that only stays when we constantly practice it.?
Because this book is the final one in the series, there’re a lot of conclusions. Not just the conclusion to the story that I started in that particular book, or even learning to reconcile and discover what reconciliation really means in the South African sense of Ubuntu, there’re also the conclusions to so many questions I set out on my Camino de la Luna with. The answer to so many of the questions was to let go, to let myself get lost, because whenever I wandered off, I always found myself and my answers. The book Reconciliation is about accepting myself just as I am, but also about realising that even if people didn’t accept me as I was, that I wasn’t going to change - understanding that changing myself for acceptance was never really going to work. When we accept ourselves as we are, we realise we are no better or worse than anyone else and we stop trying to make anyone and everyone like us... in both senses of the word. We feel more free to enjoy the wonderful diversity of the world and we don’t take it personally when people “reject” us.?
Maybe.?
I really enjoyed listening to what everyone had to say at the online get together “Fear of Success and New Year’s Resolutions” - I might even release the video. It was lovely to hear stories of how people have managed to stay committed to fitness resolutions – either by getting hold of a bargain elliptical or getting back on track after a few off days of looking after family (to which I can definitely relate!) My own resolution was a bit bumpy because of having a cold, but I realised that I also needed to eat a bit more healthily - with a bit more protein and salt to support the exercise and I feel confident stepping into February with a kitchen packed with healthy goodies and a bit more balance in my life.?
February is the last month of winter (supposedly) so I’m going to use this month to try and do a bit of star gazing before the days get longer.?
We also have our training at the end of February (please let me know if you want to have a chat about it – there are scholarship spaces) and I’ll be lining up another get together for March, this time I think (as it’s coming to the end of the tax year) on “Fear of Success and Money” – I know it’s a big subject for a lot of people.?
Wishing you loads of love this February and hope to see you soon.
Lots of love,?Pearl??

Fear of Success Instructor Training with Claudia Woodford and Pearl Howie
Just like first aid, in an ideal world, none of us would have to understand fear of success, but in a post-Covid world, the root causes and associated disorders which cause fear of success, and limit our personal and professional capabilities, are even more prevalent and an everyday hazard.
This training focuses on a new framework for understanding the five types of fear of success, which can affect us all at different times. Better than that, the training is practical, engaging participants to demonstrate for each other different types of fear of success, before we dive into all the many ways to overcome these fears which block and limit us.
We round out the day with an essential training on associated disorders which almost all of us will have to deal with at some point in our lives, including the ever “popular” Imposter Syndrome.
The training, which has been running since October 2022, based on the Amazon best selling book published right before the Covid pandemic, has received positive feedback from 92.3% of participants (mainly from coaches who have been using it to improve performance for their clients).?
For managers it is an incisive diagnostic tool for individuals and teams, particularly in professional development. It also enables leaders to see where, on a company wide basis, this kind of fear inhibits creativity and innovation which are core to growth.
It is also a demonstrated way to help companies avoid burnout and promote wellbeing – both of which have been shown to be more profitable than the alternatives (including wellness or wellbeing initiatives which have not been properly thought out!)
The participants of this training receive certification as Fear of Success Instructors so that they can support their colleagues as well as themselves in the future. Participants walk away having changed the way they see things, they stop holding themselves back, free themselves up to do what they are best at, equipped with practical solutions to any success issues they or their businesses may have. Fear of Success Instructor Training empowers business owners to develop their own and their team’s talents beyond what they previously thought possible.
This price also includes your accreditation and… another new development in this training… a simple manual including everything we cover in the training – so you don’t even have to read the books!
