Recognising the NE Trade and Construction Industry
And so, it’s been 3 weeks since we had another fabulous night at the Trades Awards, which were held on Friday 8th June at the Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen.
I was privileged to take on the role of Head Judge this year, on a highly respected judging panel, and once again Richard Irvin sponsored the Best Trades Business (11+ Employees) award, an award that is given for demonstrating exemplary skills in business and a commitment to employee development.
I was delighted to present the award this year to Goldstar Cleaning Services, recognising their success in diversifying their services whilst continuing to deliver a high standard in a challenging market.
Overall, the applications continued to exceed expectations and there was more deliberation by the judges than there has ever been, making it difficult to shortlist in some categories. It was inspiring, and in some cases humbling, to hear the stories and their efforts, highlighting the increasing standard and calibre of the individuals and businesses who enter.
At Richard Irvin, people are at the heart of our Company and key to our service and success. The Trades Awards sit nicely with this ethos, having worked hard to raise the profile of the industry in the North-East of Scotland, celebrating the quality, good practice and people by showcasing their talents and achievements.
Huge thanks go to Isla Stewart and Mike Wilson from Mearns & Gill, who again delivered a remarkable event, as well as to my fellow judges for another amazing year. I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings…
Great news Kim, congratulations to the winners.
