Failing to equip oneself with the necessary knowledge and skills to secure and defend against potential threats is akin to willingly volunteering as a victim in a perfect crime scene. Imagine being caught off guard by criminals who have meticulously studied police patrolling patterns and identified vulnerabilities, leaving you exposed in your place of weakness. Criminals thrive on the complacency and unpreparedness of their victims, preying on those who have not figured out their vulnerabilities.
All victims had something in common. They all believed it won't happen to them, until it did!
In a world where crime and terrorism pose constant threats, being untrained and unprepared leaves individuals at a significant disadvantage. Criminals and radicals operate with precision, targeting unsuspecting victims who have not taken the initiative to educate themselves in counter-crime tactics. Without the ability to detect, prevent, and respond to potential threats, individuals become easy targets for violence and exploitation.
Victims Always Come On Time. It's The Adversary/Attacker Who Is Early And Awaits To Ambush Their Victim.
While designing SOP's around VIP security, I've always stressed and over stressed the need to deploy an Advance Party (I call them the X-Ray Team, because that's what they do. They X-ray the entire place for anything that has not belonged to that place until the VIP's plan to visit that place). Now people like you and me can't afford an X-ray team. So the best option for us is to get to the meeting 10 to 30 mins before. Whether its a public place of a private office, when you get there before, you get to witness the preparations.
Most of my clients who took this advice seriously (both men & women) have gotten back with a note of thanks for many reasons. In some cases women were able to find out the malicious feel in the place of meeting while some men from their company's leadership have been able to get a table that was free of bugs ( the opposition didn't get time to install the surveillance/listening devices).
Whatever maybe your case, the only way to counter your opposition is to play with the element of TIME. The only way to learn about these tactics is when you learn to think and act like the VIP security for your own self. We are the VIP for our family. And that was the whole essence with which I put together this program way back in 2017. Most of the content of this program was taken right out of the Israeli Close Protection Doctrine, that I was entrusted with.
BTW, I'm told that the Blue Book of the SPG that protects the PM, has many pages from this doctrine. And rightly so, you and I are as critically important for our families as the PM is for our nation. Tell me you don't deserve this kind of security !
The Israeli Counter Crime Education is not just a luxury but a necessity in today's society. Look at the crime taking place around us. With an avg response time of the police (after you call them) being 10-15 mins, most crime can manifest way before the cops can make it. Mugging, Molestation, Theft, Kidnapping, Murder (stab or shoot). They all happen in less than 5 to 6 mins. And if you aren't trained in counter crime tactics, there is no way you can emerge as a survivor from such situations. By neglecting to learn how to secure and defend oneself, we inadvertently invite danger and increase our risk of falling victim to crime. The consequences of remaining ignorant to security measures are grave, as one becomes susceptible to becoming a statistic in the growing list of victims of theft, mugging, robbery, and other forms of criminal activities.

At TSoC, we talk about SOLUTIONS. A doctor who can't offer a cure, is a doctor who will cause more casualties. However, we'll leave you to qualify yourself as someone who is not in denial of the disease (crime) and is willing to grab a vaccination against it.
To break free from the cycle of victimhood, it is imperative to take ownership of one's safety and well-being. By investing in the Israeli Counter Crime Education, individuals empower themselves to navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence, resilience, and the ability to protect themselves from harm. Remember, the choice to secure and defend oneself is the ultimate shield against becoming a victim in the perfect crime scenario.
Being in denial of becoming a victim of crime/abuse is nothing different than a kid convincing his parents why questions from a certain chapter won't come in the exam. We know how that ends !
As it always is.... The Choice is Yours. A Secured Life For Ourself And Our Families, Or Denial, That's Its All OK !
Until my next.... #StayICY !
