Too often, particularly as a woman (sorry not sorry men) we get this feeling of lackness. The feeling that whatever we do, it just isn't good enough. We spend our lives chasing, striving, hustling, running, out of breath and energetically bruised because we have this inate sense that our efforts, our capabilities, our wins even, cannot be celebrated nor appreciated because we are just not enough. Can I get a 'Yes!' from my sisters, my women out there reading this!
The feeling of never being enough is one that I battled with for many years. Too often I held myself back from taking jobs, from applying for certain positions, because I didn't think I was good enough. I've kept quiet countless times because I didn't think I had anything valuable to say and didn't want to be ridiculed. I made excuses for why I couldn't do something because I was paralysed by the feeling I wasn't enough. I was scared to be me, to speak up, to own my worth, to show the world ME!
Have you ever felt that not enoughness feeling? The one that keeps you hiding your beautiful light from the world? The feeling of frustration when you come away from a meeting or encounter that didn't go the way you'd hoped it would? The problem with not feeling enough, is the price you pay. It's expensive not being enough. You pay the price highly by not being your true self, by not honouring your true potential. Not feeling like your enough costs you valuable time and energy because you lose the ability to set boundaries, to say no, the show people your value and your worth. It will cost you that promotion, that time spent in a crap relationship, that desire to succeed.
Here's a thought: next time you feel small and you want to run and hide, STOP..., put your hand on your heart, take a deep breath, count to ten and say with me, "I am enough." You will always be enough.
If you're struggling with the feeling of not enoughness, get in touch, let's have a conversation, let's unpack those not enoughness emotions, let's release them from your mindset and replace them with new thoughts, new actions, new enoughs to fill your cup so you can truly be the woman you were meant to be.

I'll leave you with this beautiful little story, for adults and kids alike, I am enough, written by Grace Byers, read by ReadAloudStoryBooks on You Tube. So eloquently written, encapsulating the beauty of cultural diversity, being a female and being enough, here's an extract I particularly love:
"I'm not meant to be like you; you're not meant to be like me. Sometimes we will get along, sometimes we will disagree. I know that we don't look the same, our skin, our eyes, our hair, our frame. But that does not dictate our worth; we both have places here on Earth. And in the end, we are right here to live a life of love, not fear. To help each other when it's tough, to say together... I AM ENOUGH." - Grace Byers: I am enough - https://youtu.be/hRFI-N4kYZk
