It always intrigues me when I hear the word obsession and the connotations in which it's used. More often than not, it's quite negatively assosciated, usually in regards to either one person being obsessed over another, mostly in an unhealthy fashion or someone being totally obsessed with a particular item such as food or activity, where others will remark over the slightly dodgy way the other person constantly fusses over this thing.
I like to spark up conversations with friends, family and clients on what it means to be self-obsessed. What is obsession and how can it be seen in a more positive light. After all, obsession simply means "an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person's mind." Most coaches and those in the spiritual or law of attraction realm will guide you on your dreams and how having a set and definitive thought in your mind where you are able to create actions and inspiring steps, will be far more beneficial to you and far more likely to come true.
My message for you today, is to get self-obsessed. Get obsessed over your dreams, over your health, your goals, your desires. Obsess over giving them the time they deserve because this time is what you deserve. Get obsessive with your wellbeing, with your beliefs. Have an obsessive faith in your capabilities and strength. Obsessively trust in yourself, to succeed in the dreams you have.
Having an obesssion is having a focus. It's putting your energy in the places that matter and knowing that this will create the life you desire. Let your ideas preoccupy your mind. Let nothing get in the way of your future self. Stay on the path that's gonna take you to your future life. Take the present action and inspiration to make your future self a reality.

Get obsessive! Create an obsessive plan! And most importantly, don't the naysayers get in your head. Keep your obsessions secret. Just do what's best for you. Those that love you will adjust and understand, those that don't aren't worth your time.
