Recipe for Creating A Social Identity.

Your true nature is emptiness. The entire universe is simply an empty space with the constant movement of energy within it. We are all part of this alive, vibrant emptiness. In this empty stage, we create the experience of life for ourselves and others by creating and assuming the social identity and social roles. It is amazing that this vast emptiness takes up different forms, different roles and keeps interacting with itself. It is like ocean waves. Seemingly infinite ocean constantly creates waves of different sizes and shapes. For a few moments, the ocean assumes the role of a small wave. This same ocean gets expressed in infinite waves. Similarly, infinite emptiness gives space for different forms to appear, remain in existence, and dissolve. We are all part of this cosmic dance and drama.

Most of the time, we create personal and social identities in a random, chaotic, and unconscious manner. You can also take control of how your social identity is created and create an action plan to create an identity that inspires you.

Here are the steps to create a brand-new identity:

1) You are essentially an empty space: The first step is to recognize that you are bound by nothing. You have limitless, infinite power to create yourself in whatever way you wish. You are always free. You are not bound by past or other people’s expectations. It is more like a Hollywood actor. Hollywood actors can take-up any role on screen. There are no limits.

2) Understand You Become Whatever You Say You are: Second step is to recognize that your social persona is completely dependent on you. Eventually, you become whatever you say you are and whatever you manage yourself to be. You may have acted differently in the past. However, you can declare & create yourself NEWLY at any time.

3) Declare & articulate clearly who you are: Next step is to declare and articulate your social persona and your social role in a way that inspires and empowers you. It is like writing a character in the movie. You are the author. You can write your own character in this grand movie of life. Define your character, your role in the movie of life. To make the plot interesting, start defining other characters, overall theme, and action sequence of the movie of your life. 

4) Start acting out your role with integrity & passion: Now is the time for real action. Start acting out your role and start managing your performance. Act fully consistent with the role you have created. Direct your actions, emotions, gestures, and daily events that fully reflect the social role you have defined.

5) Appreciate people who accept your social role: Slowly, start building a network of relationships and connections that accept you as per the new social persona that you have created. If you act consistent with the social role you have declared, most people will eventually accept you in your new role. Very soon, people will expect you to act as per your new role and a new identity.

After a while, if you wish to create a new role and create yourself again, feel free to do that. You are free at all times.

When you create yourself again, the world will still think of you as per your old social identity. Now, slowly inform the world that you are in a new social role. And slowly, you will become a new social identity. 

You don’t exist in any fixed form like a table or chair.

You are flexible, malleable, moldable ductile, and liquid. You are created in language. Your identity and social roles exist in language patterns. So, if you use new words and new language, you get into a new identity.

You create yourself every moment.
