?? Recent project update: Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan (PRC plan)

Our team have been busy working on the development and lodgement of a transitional Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan (PRC plan) to the QLD Department of Environment and Science (DES), in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Development of the PRC plan commenced in late 2022, with a tight timeframe for lodgement by mid-May.

Due to the age of previous assessment work for the Project (early 1990’s), our team needed to undertake a range of technical studies to inform the development of the PRC plan and PRCP schedule.

These technical studies included:

?? Hydrogeological;

?? Hydrology and water management;

?? Terrestrial and aquatic ecology; and

?? Environmental Geochemical Characterisation and Risk Assessment of Mineral Waste

These studies then informed the development of the final landform design, landform cover design, and the revegetation approach for the PRC plan.

Our experienced team worked with the client in a solutions-orientated approach to ensure the lodgement of a quality PRC plan was delivered before the deadline.

A huge effort and fantastic result by everyone involved ??
