In recent developments
In recent developments, China's General Administration of Customs has initiated a pilot program for a new multimodal transport model for export goods, aiming to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs. The new model departs from cities such as Xi'an, Urumqi, Kunming, Qingdao, and Shenzhen, utilizing both railway and road transport to countries like Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Myanmar. The customs authority, in collaboration with the National Railway Administration, has optimized regulatory models to achieve a single通关 document and a one-time comprehensive logistics carriage, simplifying customs procedures, reducing the data required for declarations, and lowering logistics costs.
