In early October, a diverse delegation from Sweden with representatives from OEMs, SMEs, academia, and institutes, traveled to France. During our visit to various sites within the French innovation system in Paris and Toulouse, we gained valuable insights into their challenges, problem-solving strategies, and technological advancements. We look forward to deepening our collaborations in the future!

LIGHTer project and the Manuela-project lead to an award winning technology for 3D-printing of aluminium alloys
AIDRO Hydraulics & 3D Printing received the EPMA Component Award 2024 for the hydraulic manifold designed for aeronautical applications.
This component award was obtained in the category additive manufacturing at EuroPM2025 Congress&Exhibition in Malm? in the beginning of October. The printing and development of the printing has been done at Chalmers. This is the new Al-alloy designed for AM by H?gan?s and Chalmers, and was developed via LIGHTer project and CAM2 efforts.
This manifold for Landing Gear with High Strength Aluminum was presented during the EuroPM2024 Congress&Exhibition in Malm? and it was made in collaboration with H?gan?s AB, Chalmers tekniska h?gskola and Magnaghi Aeronautica SPA.

Melker V?rmd? wins prestigious award
Melker V?rmd?, by Melker of Sweden, was announced winner in the Product of the Year Awards 2025 in the most prestigious category Sea Kayaking. The ceremony took place on the 25th of September at the premier annual international event The Paddle Sports Show in Strasbourg, France.
The award is selected by an international jury of paddle sports industry professionals and recognizes a sea kayak that significantly makes a difference where Melker V?rmd? introduces Melker's new era of lightweight, high-performance, and plant-based construction in a really comfy, and playful light touring & recreational kayak.
Melker of Sweden has participated in several LIGHTer projects to develop the ideal materials and techniques for crafting their unique kayaks. Additionally, Melker of Sweden is a member of the Lightweight Member Programme.
