Recent 3-Week Trip to China.... Some Highlights.

1)????? Wuhan is open for business. ?It is a beautiful city and residents are eager to put the past behind them and show the world what a world-class location it is. ?Highlights will include the river and bridges at night and the world-famous Pagoda.? ?

2)????? Fuzhou provides a park designed to show guests two things.? One, how close it is,?4.6 nautical miles to an island of Taiwan – not the mainland. Two, help guests appreciate the historical closeness of Taiwan and mainland China. ?We were reminded that there is one city sharing the same name, people speak the same dialect, and the interchange of business is frequent.

3)????? Businesses are once again inviting foreign training based upon trusted guanxi.

4)????? The reports of the meeting between President Biden and XI were positive…. even before it happened.

5)????? While train traffic (domestic) is almost back to normal, international hotels and airports are far from healthy. ?China needs and now welcomes once again, foreign relationships. While this is likely driven by the economic need, I believe the populace of China by and large genuinely wishes international relationships to once again be open and healthy.
