Recent 187.5-ton Load Test of Hydroelectric Plant Overhead Gantry Crane

This large hydroelectric project was originally constructed with three generators and a fourth unit was added in 1989 increasing total generation to 203 megawatts of hydroelectric power. Large hydroelectric projects are considered a green energy source because they burn no fuel and simply use the Earth’s natural water cycle to generate electricity. Hydropower generation also helps to support other renewable generation sources by providing a clean and carbon-free power source that can be used any time of the day or night and is not dependent on the wind or weather in order to work.
