Recap of Our Backup Exec Webinar on Cyber Resiliency with Microsoft!

We recently hosted an exciting and highly informative webinar in partnership with Microsoft, themed "Cyber Resiliency."

This event was aligned with the launch of the new Veritas Backup Exec, aimed at transforming how SMBs approach data protection. We were thrilled by the enthusiastic participation and engagement from our audience, which made the event a resounding success.

Key Highlights of the Webinar

1. Introduction of New Cyber Resilient Backup Exec

The webinar kicked off with the introduction of the latest release of Veritas Backup Exec.

Backup Exec Wheel of Total Protection

This version includes several innovative and powerful features designed to enhance data protection for SMBs. Key features include:

  • AI-Powered Anomaly Detection: Strengthens the platform’s capabilities by covering detection, prevention, and recovery within the backup environment.
  • Malware detection?– Equips SMBs with another line of defense against viruses propagating within their data environment. Veritas Backup Exec malware detection, powered by Microsoft Defender, can be used to scan both VMware and Hyper-V backup sets at any time or prior to recovery.
  • Role-based security?–?Limits access to data based on a user’s specific role. In the event an account is compromised, hackers can only corrupt the small volume of data associated with that specific user’s account.
  • Faster backup and recovery?– Optimizes protection performance with forever incremental backup of VMware and Hyper-V. Protection of virtual machines is now faster with parallel backup of multiple virtual disks and the included ability to recover virtual machines instantly.
