The Recap: June 2024
Velocity Clinical Research, Inc.
Delivering high-quality clinical trial data and patient care with unprecedented efficiency.
In this issue of The Recap, I’m thrilled to share exciting work that is improving strategic alignment with our clients.
First, the Principal Investigator Onboarding and Training (PIVOT) Program has evolved beyond a simple educational initiative. PIVOT has become a catalyst for how our PIs collaborate, discuss trials, and provide protocol review support for our clients. For numerous Sponsors and CROs, this has already been instrumental in bringing Velocity in earlier, during the strategy and planning portion of study development, to provide insights. ?
Second, our CARE Councils are generating a tremendous amount of interest, and for good reason. Led by Drs. Kris Kowdley (interview below) and Nadege Gunn, our MASH CARE Council is making fast progress in helping sites become proficient in MASLD and MASH research and reach relevant patients. This is one of six CARE Councils that are already changing the way we partner with clients to bring mores studies to patients in specialized therapeutic areas.
Velocity was also proud to be the first-ever sites organization sponsor for ACRP's Clinicals Trials Day. A pair of recently published ACRP articles by Paul Evans, President and CEO at Velocity, and Victoria DiBiaso, Head, Patient Informed Development & Health Value Translation at Sanofi, demonstrate the close alignment between sites and Sponsors in supporting workforces and patients. ?
Finally, you’ll see a tour video of our Durham, NC, site, which will give you an idea of what a typical Velocity site looks like. This video is part of our initiative to provide virtual tours of Velocity sites to support remote evaluations, PSVs, and other activities that would normally require Sponsor or CRO travel — one way among many that we're working to support environmental sustainability projects within Velocity and with our partners. ?
Wishing you a great month ahead!
