RECAP THE INTRODUCTION MEETING OF THE CAMPAIGN "A NEW LIFE PAGE 6 – OPEN A NEW LIFE PAGE FOR CHILDREN"

MSD United Way Vietnam is a non-profit organization in Vietnam and a member of United Way Worldwide.
On the morning of 15/11/2022, MSD United Way Vietnam collaborated with UEF Center of Learning-Service to successfully host the meeting to introduce the promotion campaign and funding for "A New Life Page 6" with the title of "Open a New Life Page for children" at University of Economics and Finance (UEF).
The meeting has the participation of Goodwill Ambassador – Rapper Wowy, Promotion Ambassador – MC Loan Vu, MC Lieu Ha Trinh, sponsor and partner UEF Center of Learning-Service, enterprises, CSO, press media, supported family and more than 100 students from the University of Economics and Finance (UEF).
The beginning of the ceremony was the dance performance of "Bài ca T?m cá" by children of Tình th??ng ái Linh school in traditional Vietnamese cloth. The guests and students of UEF were so excited about this lovely performance.
During the opening ceremony, Ms Nguyen Phuong Linh – Director of Management and Sustainable Development Institute, shared some thoughtful words "A New Life Page does not only belong to MSD United Way Vietnam or the foundation group of A New Life Page and those who work at CSO. We want to deliver responsibility and a valuable gift for the whole society, especially young people. We can become a community that connects people to all responsible for creating a new life page for every Vietnamese child."
The central theme of the meeting was delivered through a short video about children who live in challenging backgrounds but still have many dreams and passions. For that reason, children need a birth certificate to go to school, go for a health check-up and to be able to achieve their dreams.
The upcoming section was the sharing from Rapper Wowy – a Goodwill ambassador, with a story of a friend who does not own any personal documents, so they can not go to school, can not go to public school… For that reason, he wanted to show the challenges and difficulties of not having a birth certificate. He also pointed out the importance of owning a birth certificate and the effort of MSD United Way Viet Nam's step in supporting and helping children with challenging backgrounds to have a birth certificate.
MC Loan Vu also shared some thoughtful words about being the PR Ambassador of a social project for the first time. She said, "I hope that everybody from today, when we leave the meeting and to all what we've seen and felt then everybody should use the ability to spread the positivity to the one next to you, your friends, and family so that this project can grow further and we can witness more and more children to have good health, to be fun, study and decide their own life and future.
Besides, during the exchange information section with guests and students, when MC Lieu Ha Trinh asked the question, "Do you think the contribution of 100,000 VND/month is a lot?" a UEF student answered: "I don't think 100,000 VND/month is much, because a coffee date is already 50,000 VND!". Students are also very eager to participate in supporting and contributing to the project.
The seminar also had emotional moments with the sharing of Ms Thach T. T. - the representative of her family who has been supported by MSD United Way Vietnam to make a birth certificate for her children.
Finally, MSD United Way Vietnam sent the Goodwill Ambassador, Media Ambassador, strategic partner and the Thach family with small but significant gifts of gratitude. Gifts are potted plants and a canvas bag hand-painted with the guest's name. Trees are also the symbol of sustainable development of MSD United Way Vietnam, along with the book representing the new pages of life, and the clouds are children's dreams.
Today's seminar is just the kick-off of the 6th New Page of Life campaign - Open a New Page of Life for you; the campagin is still ongoing until January 15, 2022, so we hope you continue. Accompany spread the campaign's message to friends, family, relatives, and partners... so that together, we can open many new pages of life for children with altogether complex scenes!
