A Play-Packed Day in Boston, New York and All Over the World!

Boston was buzzing with excitement on June 11th, The International Day of Play, thanks to the wonderful support from the City of Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu . The event was a huge success and brought the community together in the spirit of play.

It was an honor to join our partners from the The LEGO Foundation and the LEGO Group in celebrating this special day full of games, laughter, and play that we will cherish forever! Check out more pictures from the Boston event?here.

#PledgeToPlay with Chuck E. Cheese!

We’re thrilled to share our new partnership with Chuck E. Cheese, who also generously pledged to support our mission! To celebrate the International Day of Play, CEC Entertainment locations across the country offered 30 minutes of free playtime. Kids everywhere had a blast with endless games, prizes, and making new friends. We are so grateful to Chuck E. Cheese for taking the #PledgeToPlay and helping us spread the magic of play far and wide.

Start Your Day with Play: RTP USA Office Breakfast!

The USNO launched the International Day of Play this week with a delightful collaboration with our co-workspace colleagues during the monthly breakfast. We set up engaging games, a station for making shirt balls, and provided guests with an opportunity to learn more about our work by answering questions on our quiz wheel. All quiz participants were entered into a raffle to win a pair of Saysh shoes, designed and owned by Allyson Felix , our Olympian Ambassador and Board Member.

Game On - A Donor Appreciation Event

We had a wonderful evening at our Donor Appreciation Event, which marked the start of the first-ever #InternationalDayOfPlay with the amazing folks at T-Squared Social! The evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the positive impact of play and connect with the generous donors who make our mission possible.

It was wonderful to spend time with our Board Members, as well as many of our dedicated supporters. Their commitment and enthusiasm are the driving force behind our work, helping children everywhere experience the joy of play. Many thanks to our Event Partner COLLECTIVE Sports, Media and Events .

Celebrating Play at UNICEF Headquarters!

In honor of the first-ever #InternationalDayofPlay, our National Director, Rosemary Trent , joined an important event at the UNICEF Headquarters in New York City. Alongside partners from UNESCO, the LEGO Group, Save the Children US, and Sesame Workshop, as well as representatives from various UN Member States, we celebrated the adoption of the International Day of Play resolution at the UNGA this spring. As Founding Members of this campaign, we were proud to see play recognized on June 11th as a vital part of every child's development worldwide.
