Top 5 milestones of 2024

As we close out 2024, Spherity is proud to highlight some key milestones that demonstrate our growth and commitment to innovation. We achieved EcoVadis Gold Certification for our sustainable practices and introduced the first Catena-X Certified Battery Passport Solution with RCS Global. Additionally, we celebrated being the first digital wallet provider to complete the Drummond Group Compliance Audit in the Open Credentialing Initiative. We also launched EIDA, our Enterprise EUDI Wallet,?and its technical overview, strengthening our partnership with Bundesanzeiger Verlag to provide trusted enterprise credentials. Last but not least, we also reinforced our leadership in Europe’s Digital Product Passport market with the acquisition of Xylene. These achievements mark significant steps in our journey toward transforming digital trust and identity solutions.

Dr. Carsten St?cker appointed Board Member?of Bitkom Working Group on Digital Identities

We’re thrilled to announce that our CEO, Dr. Carsten St?cker, has been appointed as one of the Board Members?of Bitkom’s Working Group on Digital Identities, starting January 2025.

Carsten will play a pivotal role in shaping the group's efforts during a transformative time for digital identity in Europe. With the implementation of the revised eIDAS regulation, upcoming implementing acts, and the rollout of the German EUDI Wallet, 2025 promises to be a landmark year.

Solaris introduces the first Battery Passport-equipped electric buses in Berlin

Solaris has delivered the world’s first series-produced electric bus with a digital battery passport to BVG Berlin. The Urbino 18 electric model is equipped with advanced technology, offering transparency on the battery’s origin, composition, and environmental impact—pioneering responsible raw material management three years ahead of EU regulations mandating battery passports in 2027.
