The CEO's Summit Club meets once a month in London Ontario
Introduction: The Summit Club is made up of a group of successful CEOs / Partners/Presidents/ VPs of small and medium-size Corporations who have been leading the direction for the growth of their businesses. Through the pandemic, we have formed an advisory board for each other. The CEOs in our group have formed solid business relationships with like-minded professionals who have continued to act as boardroom accountability partners for each other. Business transactions have continued to exchange hands between the members.
We meet only once a month to brainstorm on various topics affecting businesses. During the month of June 2022, we had a great meeting as well as several guests attending. The conversation on the topic for this month was very lively and we learned a lot from different industries. The diversity that we bring to the CEO’s Club in terms of businesses represented really helps us to have solid conversations. It was an eye-opener to hear feedback about the status of healthcare from the members who own businesses in this industry.
It was noted that?mental health?is a big concern in the workforce which will continue to make healthcare busy. A point to ponder…..while employers are taking care of their employees' mental health issues, who is taking care of the?employers'?mental health issues? While Doctors are taking care of the patients' mental health issues who is taking care of them? There is a huge potential problem that needs to be addressed by various stakeholders in healthcare and Government.?
We are our own?support system: At the CEOs’ level, we are glad that we are there for each other. Members were encouraged to call each other, and chat and all conversations will be kept confidential. Therefore, our group exists to offer support to each other. Patricia?Berendsen, RMFT-S, CCFT, RSW, RP, SEP?is a Therapist and a key contact for CEOs and their employees.?
?Inflation?is also a big concern both to employers and employees.
Hiring has been a major concern. Employers are having to keep searching and hiring new people. The hiring and training costs may continue to rise.?
A?4-day work week?has been implemented by some of our members and they are monitoring the success path.?
Working from home?is great and flexible but it also brings challenges that employers must deal with. Vick Ramachandran is a great contact for consultation on the software that helps to enhance remote workers' performance.?

Virtual working?spaces will continue to evolve for several businesses but also in-person physical locations are important. Hybrid kinds of work environments will continue to evolve too.?
Regardless of all the challenges, businesses have continued to?grow and expand?and it is so wonderful to hear our members and guests reporting that their businesses are doing well and are on an upward trajectory.?
Referrals: Although CEOs are not soliciting each other for business, a lot of business transactions have happened because of the strong relationships they have built.?We will continue to support each other in business.?
I take this opportunity to thank Gabe Valente, Managing Partner at Valente CPAs for chairing the meeting so wonderfully and bringing that professional aspect that we like having at the CEOs' level. We do a monthly rotation for the meeting leadership so as to highlight different CEOs. ??
