Boku Bake Off Challenge goes global?
Created to mimic the beloved Great British Bake Off, the Boku Bake Off tradition started in London, and went global in September. Leadership team visits Estonia?
Boku’s management team travelled to visit the Estonian offices and meet with employees, as well as to contribute to nature preservation in Estonia. We learned how to build bird nests and bug hotels to support the biodiversity in Viru Raba (Lahemaa National Park). The conversations and the meal had while we hiked in the forest were the perfect addition to a wonderful day!?
Sports and Mental Health Month?
May was Sports and Mental Health Month at Boku, and we had workshops on meditation, nutrition, and desk yoga, plus fun activities like archery, paddle tennis, board games and a step challenge going on across all offices. Why only work hard when you can play hard too?
Winter Days?
In Estonia, it is common for companies to take their employees out for a day to enjoy the beautiful winter weather. On January 26, we headed to South Estonia to snowshoe across the bog, and then a relaxing evening at the spa. We had such a great time together!?
Holi?
On March 25, we celebrated Holi in our Mumbai office, saying goodbye to the winter and welcoming the spring with a party full of color, love, and positivity. ???
?
Shrove Tuesday?
Shrove Tuesday gets adapted to each culture in Boku, being celebrated in the London office as “Pancake Day,” and in Estonian offices with the vastlakukkel (“cream bun” in English).
Summer celebrations?
Our Estonian offices said goodbye to the summer with a 1980s-themed party at the end of August. Teamwork and friendly competition were followed by a relaxing sauna session and a night full of disco moves.?
In London, where summer seems to disappear as quickly as it arrives, we kicked off the celebration with a delightful Wine & Cheese reception, followed by a lively golf competition, before wrapping things up with a Pizza Night — an unforgettable evening of fun!?
?
Navratri?
Our Mumbai office celebrated Navratri together with their families. Dancing, performances, activities for kids, and delicious food were among the highlights — along with great company. ??
?
Halloween?
The Boku team had a spooktacular time at the “Night of the Supernaturals” Halloween party in the Estonian office, which was celebrated with costumes, surprises, food, and fun. In other offices, we hosted cozy events dedicated to pumpkin carving. From Jack Skellington faces to anime-inspired pumpkins, the art and dexterity shown by Bokuers were terrifying — we mean, terrific!?

Diwali?
We celebrated Diwali with friends and colleagues in our Mumbai office. ??? ? ? ?
Women’s History Month?
March was Women's History Month:?an important time to acknowledge how our history has shaped our lives and discuss existing barriers, inequalities, and challenges. ?? We organized panel discussions, hosted fire-side chats, shared educational resources, and interviewed several women who are breaking stereotypes in the tech industry.?
?
Pride Month?
We believe that diversity and inclusion are fundamental to the strength and the success of our company. Pride Month is a time to honor and recognize the contributions, resilience, and spirit of the LGBTQ+ community. We decorated our offices, had sharing circles, and held a virtual workshop on LGBTQ+ 101 and How to Be the Best Ally. ???
Mental Health Awareness Month?
October was Mental Health Awareness Month and we took the opportunity to reflect on how mindfulness and meditation contribute to better work performance. Then we put these ideas into practice with stretching and breathing workshops, as well as 20-minute guided meditation sessions to improve our focus.
Black History Month?
On October 17, we hosted an inspiring and educational quiz that helped deepen our awareness, while having fun.
Bokuers’ birthday celebrations?
We also have the tradition of celebrating all the birthdays of the month in a cozy atmosphere that often includes food, chats, and some games.??
It’s an opportunity for us to connect and bond beyond work, to catch up on our lives, and to let other people get to know us better. ?
At Boku we are always busy: Whether we are delivering localized solutions to our partners, or increasing our bond and contribution to society, we are always a team!?
