Dear Esteemed Members,
We extend our sincere appreciation for your active participation in the impactful 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter on November 24, 2023, held in a hybrid format. With the engagement of 52 dedicated members, the event marked a significant milestone.
Established in 2020 with 11 founding members, the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter has experienced remarkable growth, boasting a membership of over 170 individuals in 2023. Our organization's core objectives revolve around fostering camaraderie, enhancing professional capabilities, and initiating projects for the betterment of communities in Australia and Sri Lanka.
The AGM served as a platform to showcase our collective achievements, with 35 dedicated members contributing to various initiatives. Noteworthy events, including employment workshops, networking sessions, a mentoring program, and a charity board game event in Perth, were highlighted. We express our pride in the success of these initiatives and our commitment to hosting similar events across Australia, thanks to the invaluable support of volunteer accountants based in Perth.
Key Highlights of the AGM:
Outgoing President, Anuruddha Dias provided a comprehensive overview of FY 2022/23 achievements under the theme "Broadening the Horizons," including 8 CPD Events, a successful Chartered Ball Fundraising Event, a Business Forum, an Academic Forum, a Members Support Program, Governance Improvement, the CA Student Scholarship Program, and a successful Royal Melbourne Hospital Fundraiser.
Pro-term chairman Dr. Pavithra Siriwardhane introduced the Executive Committee for FY2023/24.

Newly appointed President, Krishan Kanagarajah shared his theme 'Navigating the Future' for FY2023/24, including activities such as Members focused CPD events, Brainstorming sessions, Members' family day, Chartered Ball - Dinner Dance, Half-day member events, and more.
We express gratitude to outgoing President Anuruddha Dias, past President Dr. Pavithra Siriwardhane, and the dedicated EXCO members for their exceptional contributions.
