Recap 2023

This year has been full of highlights. A special cover shoot for Vogue Portugal and the launch of 1605 Magazine were just the beginning. Photographing the 'Woman of the Year' for Harper's Bazaar NL and my first solo exhibition at Fahey Klein in Los Angeles were unforgettable experiences.

A big campaign for a world famous brand, with more details to come in 2024, promises a lot. My road trip through California with Jelmar van Belle resulted in an inspiring mini-project, 'Whispers', and I've made significant progress on a future project that promises to be my most meaningful work.

The Champions project had a successful soft launch and raised over €110,000 for Orange Babies. My work 'Ziba' raised €22,000 at an auction, which I donated to the Amsterdam Diner Foundation. There was also a memorable shoot for Apple and the release of 'Rhythm, the collection' through 1605 Collective.

Vogue Portugal provided me with the opportunity to create a cover shoot story with the team “Dream Traveller”. Featuring the stunning Nella and Bo. Styling by Ellen Mirck and the stunning hairpieces by Ilham Mestour.

Created some new works again this year. So happy that you all supported the releases in a big way. Also great to hear positive feedback and the new works through out the year on all the fairs. Big thanks to all models and creatives involved in the proces of making these art pieces.

after countless hours of designing, setting up, executing and devising, 2023 really was the year when our annual magazine was finally ready for a release. I am extremely happy that the magazine has been well received by our followers, new art lovers and the press. The magazine has now been on sale for six months and is almost sold out. That means this edition is going to be a collector's item. If you haven't got it yet, now is your chance before it sells out (only €29). We expect to launch the next issue in September.

Super proud to have had a soft launch of my new project “Champions” in collaboration with Orange Babies. We raised more then €110.000 for Orange Babies in one night when we did the softlaunch in the Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam.

Im expecting to fully launch the project in September of 2024, hoping to have a book to accompany this project. That said, we are still looking for companies to support the realisation of this book. Contact me directly if you or your company wants to help.

One of the first times I created a unique piece was this year for the Amsterdam Diner Foundation at the largest charity gala in the Netherlands. I created the piece "Ziba", which means beauty in Farsi, in collaboration with Anna Nooshin, a well-known Dutch model. During the evening, the work raised over €22,000 for charity, one of the highest lots ever sold at the auction.

What an amazing start of this year was my solo show Cadance with Fahey/Klein Gallery in Los Angeles this year. Amazing crowd at the opening en met a lot of interesting people. Super proud to be represented in this part of the world.
