Rebuttal to Mr. Mahesh Murthy on his View on Modi & his Defeat of Bihar Election

Recently, I have seen spate of articles & new channels proclaiming the beginning and end of PM Narendra Modi. Though, it is very natural for the political opponents, who are opposed to the nationalist politics of "Being Indian, First & more so from the sycophants of Congress (I), Just a reminder it is not the Indian National Congress but after the 1967 split the Congress (Indira Gandhi) & Congress (U). But, that is history and most people forget that the original symbol was also taken away and hand became the election symbol.

Point to point rebuttal as I see what Mr. Mahesh Murthy has taken upon himself to the professional world through Linkedin, Twitter & Face Book.

1. The people of India voted you into national government because they wanted a better economy. One part of that was reforms, another was clearing logjams, a third was reducing corruption and yet another was bringing black money back. Strangely, all parties promised this - but you were trusted best to deliver this "better economy". P.S. All parties still promise this. It's still the main agenda - it's what matters.

Yes, reforms is the key agenda and GST, Land Bill, Labour reforms many others are there on the plate.  Haven't the National Opposition has put that at stake by voting it out in Rajya Sabha & further implementation cannot happen without State Govt. accepting it as it is a State Subject and yours truly Secularist force has used it to blackmail the public. Reducing corruption can never be done from top, every Indian Corporate & most of Indian citizens has greased the palms to curry favours and now it has become a past time of the nation. How many have refused to pay bribe? Can you vouch for it. Now, coming to bring the Black money, yes a very pertinent question. Have you realised that yours truly Congress govt. has tied the hands with various treaties as "Double taxation" & not under the appropriate act of Anti Money Laundering & other relevant acts.  But, having said that as a public we need to put pressure on the Indian political system to make sure that we have less govt. in our day to day life. This is precisely the agenda of PM Modi to have lesser govt. starting from much slimmer Central Govt and not use it as spoils of election victory.

2. Your report card on this is spotty to poor so far: reforms haven't happened, logjams haven't yet cleared, corruption may have come down a bit but hasn't disappeared, and your promises about black money have largely proven a joke.

Isn't 1.5 years is too short a time to talk about Report Cards? Wasn't Manmohan Singh was given 10 yrs and prior to that at the least 5 years. The million $$$ question is why did we reached a stage of such desperation under whose rule ? Congress has ruled for 60 yrs in this. Where is the Report Card of 60 years that has been questioned. Never the less, who are we the lesser mortals to question the great minds ?

3. Instead of focusing on these and working on your mandate, you veered off in two completely different directions: one: following an agenda that you were NOT voted in for: banning beef, having pure veg days, shutting down international NGOs, hindu-fying history and literature and generally doing the bidding of your foster home, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh : RSS to turn India into a Hindu nation. As you've seen by now and heard: most Hindus do not want to turn India into a Hindu nation. None of these actions of yours had any electoral legitimacy - yet you did the bidding of your trainers at RSS. You've learnt now that the people voted in the BJP and not the RSS. Keep that in mind.

The Beef ban, If you had just looked into the Laws, Beef ban has been there in Mughal rule and has existed in most states and has been mainly in Congress times. Heaping it on BJP is rather sad commentary of making political gains by raising a bogey of Hindu Party. Great, your branding experience would have been quite handy. The PR Pundits of Congress & whole Sycophants media Paparazzi who have licked the feet of Secular forces and gained all kind of favours just lapped it up. As for RSS, please go and see the work done on Education through Shishu Mandir is phenomenal. Has anyone questioned the Minority Institutions giving religious education then why question RSS. Reminder, Imam Bukhari giving Fatwa to vote for Secular forces. What is that?. Active conversion propagated by minorities has given more semblance & veered them towards the disenchantment with secularist. Aren't your bias reflecting in the tone "RSS Trainer" ? Mr. Murthy yet you claim to be unbiased. So, are you trained by MTV /V channel led Western Culture anything other than that in uncouth? Isn't that reflects your intolerance and people like you?

4. And second, your curious desire to position yourself as some international statesman of stature, out-doing Nehru, and spending more time visiting places outside India than being in India itself. This has led to all decisions being centralised within the PMO and seemingly none being taken by you - it was strange to see that even your defence minister didn't know what the original OROP declaration was going to be: he merely read out what your boffins in the PMO sent him. And it's also led to you deliberately ignoring all kinds of anti-Muslim malfeasance - whether it was your deliberate non-condemning of the Dadra Mutton Murder, or it was your deliberate looking-the-other-way when orange-clad swami-type idiots in your party make ridiculous statements about Shah Rukh Khan going to Pakistan, or when another Hindutva-vaadi idiot is forced down the throats of students at FTII, or when the national Academy doesn't have the backbone to condemn intolerance. Your looking-the-other-way is now obvious to people. You can very clearly now see that it is not expected of you.

So, according to your judgement only Nehru is and can be the World Statesman ?. Please have the courage to accept that Modi visits have brought in lot more investment commitment. In todays, connected world is it possible to be isolated?.  Now, coming to other issues of Dadri, Pray tell me who was/is ruling the state? And, when did law & Order became the Central Govt.  subject. Kalbugi happened in Congress ruled state but No, PM Modi needs to respond? The great, secular forces are at work, Sir please do not question us we are secularist. Now coming to OROP has been there for last so many years. Did the great governments who came in did anything on it. It is mainly the bureaucratic inheritance that is afraid of and has been the obstruction in implementation. Intolerance, Oh my God, what tragedy? Just because a Rightist, Hindu party came to power. Right, till now Emergency, 1984 riots and many others happened under which govt. Pray tell me Sir. The biggest division happened in this country with the implementation of Anti-Mandal protest by Students, JP movement etc. Least to remind you that maybe you were young maybe in your 20's at the time of Anti-Mandal protest? But, how does it matter they were just some students & not the secularist voter constituency. FTI, wow you have really outdone your self, If it was some leftist/ Congress Sympathetic person then that is fine. Most of the protesters were not even students but why that is important. The rule of Congress Courtiers" sitting in key places days are over. Yes, they go down fighting and that is expected of them. History, has been written to Highlight Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty convenience. How about Netaji, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Annie, The Indian Political key figures Lala Lajpat rai, Bal Ganga Dhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal  and local heroes in states. As Indians we hardly know, even the key monuments carries names of Mahatma Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Nehru, Indira only? Why?

5. So you want a second term as PM? Here's what you need to do. Ditch the RSS. Yes, they might have been your spiritual home for ages - but those guys are screwing up India and nobody likes them anyway - plus they cost you a huge chunk of votes - your national vote share in 2013 was 31%, and it's dropped to 24% in Bihar - you've lost a quarter of your earlier fan base already in just 18 months. Ditch the anti-Muslim, anti-Pakistan rhetoric. We want a country where religion doesn't matter. And we want to grow bigger, not fight wars.

Second Term of PM, will be decided by the Public. But, you are right we don't want wars. But, we are perfectly fine if 26/11 happens through state sponsored terrorism we don't have the back bone to respond. So, why waste time and given second chances to all such anti-indian forces. Isn't that all strong Nations do? I do think we need to respond in kind with such forces. No matter what we cannot let inimical forces to India to succeed and all Indians need to ensure that.

6. Get right back on your economic agenda. Stop the damn foreign tours - except when it's part of the economic agenda. Pass bills. Get e-governance working. Lower corruption. Get the economy flowing again.

Hmm, valid point Mr. Murthy but how will investments come in without projecting the Indian brand. Isn't that as a investor you want that. But, the key question is if we keep on having disruption and Rajya Sabha keeps on rejecting the bills where does it stand? The economic agenda. Maybe, next time when you meet Congress & Secular forces power brokers guide them too.

7. Get some humility. Get off the RSS path-of-arrogance, and deal with the opposition nicely. Work WITH them and not against them to get GST and the rest of bills through parliament. They want it, you want it, we all want it. All that's coming in the way is your ego and arrogance. The want to knock you down a peg or two. Let them. The country is bigger than your ego. And perhaps Bihar will have taught you the lesson the state wanted to deliver to you - that they don't care for your arrogance. You can change. You need to. Get off your high horse.

I am hearing the agenda of humility, Wow, Work with previous Governments who have been epitome of Corruption. What, in bargain give them amnesty from corruption cases? to buy there support. Sir, means are as important as goals. Bihar, should & must teach a lesson to all. As a public we still get swayed by caste politics, how can we excuse people who have plundered Bihar?. But, so are the vagaries of our political system is. Modi, will pay a price for it, no doubt about it?. He has failed in one state and it for his own good that he makes in count on the ground.

8. Get the GDP growing again, past 7,% maybe even 8% or 9%. Let people make money and get rich.

Hmm, it makes me smile GDP growth will come when bureaucratic system is revamped or disbanded. why do we really need them?  Today, for honest work people want "Baksheesh" continuing the British system of Civil Servants was created to rule India and NOT "Enable India" cannot be the model for growth. "Made in India" has happened despite the Civil Servants, Why do we need so much governance. Minimum Governance, Maximum Results is the need of the hour. Abolishing all kinds of reservations, only merit is the only way. Secularism, real meaning is no state patronage & appeasement. Make it happen, My India yearns for It.

Though I did not find "Bihar" much in your article. Yes, Modi failed to convince in Bihar. Bihar is a crucible of "Caste Politics" from Thakur times and has consistently voted based on caste lines. In reality last time BJP win happened due to getting the same caste line right by aligning with JD (U) and Modi has erred in his judgement in alliance. So, one election loss makes him a history? Wait & watch, how the loot/spoils of election will be fought over. Already, 9th fail son of laloo Prasad want to be Dy CM.

It is the greatness of this democracy that gives me the right to state my views. These are my views you as a reader has a right to agree or disagree. That is what my beautiful country gives me. I am by birth Indian and will die as an Indian.  Maybe, it is about time Mr. Murthy & people like you learnt to accept that there is a major section of society that thinks beyond labels and are willing to give a chance to Modi to perform for 5 years before making a judgement on failure and success.

Puneet, you are one of the very few person's I know who has the guts to call A spade a spade and you can take on anyone anywhere. Your points were very well articulated and I am sure many do not like you for your no - nonsense attitude and not to compromise to anyone for anything. Glad to see your writings after a long time and look forward to seeing more. Regards

Well said Puneet. All the jokers who complain of the so called intolerance attitude because of some stray incidences forget very conveniently that the WORST OF WORST RIOTS happened time and again under The Congress Regime. Also blaming RSS is a fashion nowadays. How come no one blames the Christian Missionaries?? What are they doing??? If RSS spreads Hinduvta it is wrong but these people can spread their agenda and it is perfect and correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Congress Party is full of Lawyers given the scam after scam they have done. Mercifully we do not see so many lawyers in the BJP. Modi losing Bihar is not the end. But look at the combination: Lalu - A Convicted Thief has tied up with a party full of Scams. Wow what a combination!!!!

Puneet - While I like the debate you have set up, let me remind you that 2 wrongs dont make a right. You need to do a zero base analysis of Modi's performance and not constantly drag it into comparison with the previous government. The reason why Modi was voted was because the eralier government didnt perform.
