Rebranding BesserStrategie Human Capital: The Journey from Concept to Identity

BesserStrategie Human Capital, formerly known as DKAN Human Solutions, approached us with a clear mission: to completely rebrand their company to align with their evolving vision. The client, David wanted a fresh, modern visual identity that would reflect their new name—BesserStrategie (inspired by the German phrase for "better strategies")—and their commitment to helping businesses excel through innovative, tailored HR solutions. This project covered a full suite of branding materials: logo design, business cards, a brand guide, letterhead, and company profile.
What the Client Wanted
David sought a visual identity that not only reflected their expertise in HR consulting but also communicated their core values—wisdom, intelligence, and long-term business strategies. They were looking for a logo that would incorporate these elements while remaining modern and professional. Along with the logo, they wanted consistent branding across all materials that would project reliability and trust.
The Design Process
We began by discussing key elements the brand should represent. Given the name change and focus on strategy, we needed a symbol that conveyed depth and insight. After reviewing various options, we landed on the Nyansapo Adinkra symbol as the focal point of the logo. This symbol, representing wisdom and knowledge, was a perfect match for BesserStrategie’s mission of providing businesses with strategic HR guidance.
With the central symbol in place, we experimented with several typefaces before choosing the Mont font for the brand name. The modern and clean aesthetic of Mont added a professional feel to the design while maintaining simplicity. The word "Human Capital" was set in a smaller size underneath "BesserStrategie," creating a balanced hierarchy that subtly highlights the firm's area of expertise.
Why This Concept?
The Nyansapo symbol was a natural fit for a consulting firm whose focus is helping businesses make wise, informed decisions. By combining this powerful symbol with a minimalist typeface, we created a logo that was both modern and rooted in tradition—an ideal reflection of BesserStrategie’s approach.
The Font Choice
The Mont font was selected for its clean, versatile lines, which provide a professional and approachable look. Its simplicity allows the logo to be easily adapted across different mediums, from digital screens to printed materials, ensuring that the brand retains its identity in all formats.
