Confident Live Accelerator Coming Soon

This is so hot off the press I actually don't have a sales page or anything much to share with you. In 2022 I am launching a 5-week accelerator program called Confident Live Accelerator. Launching or growing your live show and podcast takes time and effort. It's not easy. That's why I've created this group program which will take you through the tried and tested process of launching or rebooting your live show and podcast. I'll share more soon, but for now, you can?register your interest here.

??? Thought of the day...

Is it time to reboot or rethink your content strategy? How does your live show or podcast fit into it all? I discussed this in yesterday's Confident Live Show. But I think it's so important that I want to share my thoughts on this here.

When I am planning for my live shows, it forces me to stop, think and take stock of what's happening. That's good. But how often do we actually do that?

With the new year just around the corner, it's a good time to look at our strategy.

So...

Should we still be embracing live video? Or should we be focussing on other things?

Doing live video for live video’s sake has never been a good strategy. And so...

Just focusing on a live video on its own is usually not a good strategy

BUT...

Integrating live video as part of your content strategy is smart. And here are three great ways you can do this:

#1 Community building shows (not focusing on the replay or repurposing at all)

#2 Evergreen Pillar Content Repurposing-focus shows (creating valuable content that will resonate with your audience with the intention of repurposing it into blog posts, podcasts, video snippets and more)

#3 Webinars and Teaching lives (these are great for paid and free communities such as Facebook Groups)

There are a couple of other questions you need to ask...

What is it is you want to achieve? How does live video fit into your whole strategy?

Now sometimes, tweaking your strategy is fine, but sometimes you need to reboot and rebuild from the ground up.

For me... I WANT TO REBOOT…

Here are the thoughts I quickly jotted down in my planning session yesterday. I'd love you to do the same. And then email me back with your thoughts!

- Multistreaming for multistreaming's sake is not a good idea

- I’ll be reducing the number of channels I multistream to in 2022. I want to focus on fewer channels and be more present with my audience on those channels.

- I’ll be streaming my main show to Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter. But my main focus will be on YouTube + LinkedIn.

- I want to do a regular Amazon Live show.

- I might do regular Instagram Lives later on. Not sure. What do you think?

I also want to be clearer about what I offer as a business. This is critical and I see so many businesses failing with this. We need to plan our launches and products first, and build our content around that.

So, for me, my focus for 2022 will be

- YouTube channel growth (get monetised in Q1)

- At least one YT video each week in 2022

- My weekly newsletter to you is a non-negotiable

- Look at doing community lives weekly

- Do more raw lives and raw podcasts. Why? Because people love raw. I know I do.

So there you go. A bit of a mind dump, but I feel a useful one!

???Interesting Things I've Seen This Week

  • New Facebook Live features - Add links, and more guests Facebook Live doesn't have the reach it once had, but Facebook has announced new features in a bid to try and renew its popularity. These features are available on their native web and mobile apps. You will be able to add 3rd party links, polls on mobile, have up to 3 guests on mobile, go live in stories, badges and "front row" where your most loyal fans can show up in a special "front row".
  • Instagram bringing back reverse-chronological feed option next year But as this article says, it's not going to work exactly as you might expect. It will not be the default, and you'll have to toggle between the algorithm-led feed and the chronological one. What are your thoughts on this?
  • Facebook launching "Professional Mode" for personal profiles For creators using their personal profiles, Facebook is rolling out some features which have only been available for pages including insights (analytics/metrics) and monetisation features. A little strange, because Facebook's terms have always stated personal profiles shouldn't be used for business. Is this changing?
  • Twitter testing full-screen "TikTok" like feature for Explore Hmmm, I can't get excited about this. I don't use Explore in Twitter (do you?) And it seems that every social network out there is copying TikTok!
  • You can now add custom text to Instagram Story Links
  • LinkedIn Live now available to everyone?(if you switch Creator Mode On) A very eagle-eyed member of my community, Alec Dorling, shared with me that LinkedIn Live is now technically available to all - if you switch Creator Mode ON. You also get access to the newsletters feature too. With LinkedIn Live engagement and reach taking a big nose-dive over recent months, is this too little, too late? If you want to learn how to broadcast to LinkedIn Live, check out my?LinkedIn Live article.

?Theme Song of the Week -??Explode Your Reach

Not sure how to explain this song this week, but here you go...!

So each week I release a silly theme song on Instagram Reels based on the theme of my podcast.?Have a look at today's theme song here.

??? Joke of the Week

A man stopped me in the street last week and asked me if I wanted to buy the Olympic swimming pool and Wembley Stadium. I replied, "What, are you trying to give me a complex or something?"

Have an amazing weekend and until next time… Toodaloo!
