Barbenheimer and the Roman Empire weren’t the only cultural phenomenons that made waves in 2023. Geometric Interactive’s puzzle adventure Cocoon, which won Best Debut Indie Game at last year’s Game Awards, was even named Eurogamer’s 2023 “Game of the year.” Furthermore, three games, including VR co-op horror Labyrinthine, captured prizes at the 2023 Steam Awards .
