The Rebirth of Professional Football?

#DarnelDinkins and #MikeBalogun are two of dozens of football players I directly helped get into the NFL through semi-pro football.

Since 1999 we had more than 250 semi-pro players in NFL team workouts at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex and other locations each year. For every 1 player in each NFL workout, 20 more were offered college scholarships.

In 2016 I re-entered the space by purchasing a "minor league" football team as a proof of concept. The concept was to validate that private equity can be raised to acquire and manage a semi-pro football team while providing opportunities for at risk youth ages 18-25 in small communities, nationwide.

The venture has turned into a $225 million 506(c) private equity fund designated to create partnerships with up to 200 teams in 39 States and Canada.

The teams already exist. The capital already exists. A small cash infusion in each team will guarantee 5 years of runway.
