Rebellis is here!

Rebellis is here!

Today, I am excited to announce the launch of Rebellis Communications.? Rebellis is Latin for rebel, a character trait that I believe all great communicators possess.? I decided to start my own company because the practice of communications has changed so dramatically in the last few decades.

Leaders today live in a state of confusion about what to say, what to do and how to do it.? The radical change began in 2008 with the global financial crisis, the rise of Facebook and the social media minute-by-minute version of the 24/7 news cycle.? Over time, the crisis shifted the world from the established liberal world order to the age of populism we have today.? The arrival of internet fueled conspiracy theories, alternative facts and disinformation closed the door forever on the “old ways” of connecting with our employees, customers and communities.

In today's fast-paced and interconnected world, reputations are built over years and shattered within moments.? Companies and executives understand this viscerally which has fundamentally undermined the use of what I consider to be the principles of good communications.? The fear of cancellation and financial loss has damaged the private sector’s ability to positively interact with and impact society.

I navigated all of these shifts from the Chief Communications Officer’s seat at GE and other public companies and as a leader in the agency world.? I led the global public affairs strategies for companies during crises, major acquisitions, massive layoffs, financial turbulence, CEO changes, the evolution of technology, the rise of clean energy and more.? Now is the time to leverage all of that perspective to help companies and leaders promote and protect their brands in ways that will resonate today.?

I want to find a new way to make an impact.? Rebellis will be an advisory firm that consults for boards, CEOs, companies, senior executives and all categories of leaders on strategic communications, issues and crisis management, employee communications, brand building, executive communications, public affairs organizational structure and more.?

I also believe there is a lot of opportunity for companies and leaders from the public sector, NGOs and others to rethink how they deliver messages in the most effective way possible.? In order to do that you have to have a rebellious spirit (because this is hard!), a deep understanding of your audiences and a clear view on how your business will grow.

Welcome to Rebellis Communications!

We believe compelling communications is the world’s greatest change agent and growth driver.

Transparency creates trust and loyalty.

Showing vulnerability connects people and opens minds.

Impassioned communications succeed.

Diverse voices deliver stronger messages.

And leaders with a rebellious spirit are building tomorrow.

There’s no better time than right now. I’d love to hear from you. Thank you so much for all the support of my fantastic friends and colleagues.
