Rebate Specialist Strike Again!!!

Utility Management Solutions, (UMS), was called upon by Clemens Food Group to help obtain incentives for a New Construction Food Processing plant. UMS reviewed the proposed equipment and ensured that it would meet the requirements of the program (DLC or Energy Star). After confirming the equipment qualified, UMS proceeded to calculate the lighting power density throughout the plant. This involved reviewing all electrical drawings, fixture counts, and wattages. To complicate matters further, UMS had to evaluate each individual space and how it was cooled to assess the proper cooling factor to maximize savings. After confirming all building details, UMS completed a COMcheck; ensuring the project met energy code compliance for IECC. UMS then worked with the local utility to meter and verify the savings. All in all, the process took over 4 months to complete but in the end was well worth it as the rebate was over $300k!?

If you plan to build a new building, UMS recommends reaching out ASAP to ensure your equipment meets the requirements for rebates and to ensure we get the project submitted within the proper timeframe to qualify (6 months after Certificate of Occupancy is issued).
