The Tech Sector seems to grow bigger and more powerful every day – and so does the competition in it. It's only natural: everybody wants to get into the hottest industry, contribute to building innovations that will shape the future, and, of course, receive an impressive paycheck at the end of each month.
Are you thinking of taking Cloud Computing and DevOps Certifications you are not alone in this, as you know Cloud Computing and DevOps Certifications have been talked about a lot in the past decade. Many people wonder if these Certification is worth it or not?
In this article l have listed the five benefits that l saw when l introduced Cloud and DevOps into my career and l am floating in the Cloud-Native World now l hope they will motivate you .
So lets dive in the reason reasons why you should opt for Cloud and DevOps Certifications
Security
It provided good security to my career as always better to invest in markets that are doing well or are expected to do well. Cloud Computing and DevOps is one such market where the numbers are bright, and the vacancies are expected to rise. Whenever we try and invest in situations where the vacancies are more than people applying for it, your chances of getting a job in the domain are higher. This is the same situation with the Cloud and DevOps ,there are more vacancies than skilled professionals who can grab these opportunities.
Jobs
As you know leaning Cloud and DevOps the end result is always about getting a job and making more money . But given the competition in the market, we always feel a need to stand out. One way to achieve this is by getting certified. Once you get certified, it gives you a pass to travel into the Cloud Computing World. It won’t guarantee you a job, but it will make you stand out and be considered as an individual who is eligible for a cloud computing career.
Credibility
Do you know that Microsoft values certifications a lot. They believe certifications can be a good way to measure an individual’s knowledge. Microsoft state that certification, training, and experience are three of the top four attributes that an organization may look for when they hire a cloud-professional. Hence, a certification in cloud or DevOps computing implies that you could be skilled to help an organization reduce risks and optimize costs for implementing workloads. This also provides opportunities for individuals to take up cloud-related projects, and your clients will see you as a credible SME. Hence, all you need to do is choose a specialization and decide if you want to be an admin, a developer or an architect. Choose a relevant certification like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services, and you should be good to go.
Earning Potential
Another reason why Cloud and DevOps certification is worth it is that it can help you climb up the organizational ladder and increase your salary. Be it Cloud Administrators, Developers, or Solutions Architect, they all get paid well. In Europe Administrators make good salary of around 60K to 100K euros a year as a Cloud professional. A cloud architect earns the highest salary, with a soring 125k euros on an average with salaries soaring 200K euros with the right skills and certifications.
Right now Cloud and DevOps skills that l leaned are helping me so much while l am working on the projects of building 5G core network software solutions as these solutions have microservice and Cloud Native Architectures which can be deployed on both public cloud, hybrid and private Cloud
