Reasons Vs. Results

How many people do you know that are getting what they want from life? How many people do you know who have reasons and excuses for why they don't?
You may remember in my last article I referred to the various categories relating to individuals when it comes to making a change, the logical levels of change and how easy or in some cases challenging making a necessary change can be. For most individuals or enterprises that aren't working, a change of mindset or direction is required. There are usually more reasons about why it's not working and fewer results. In business, in relationships, in career and in life for that matter - you either have results or you have the reasons why you didn't get the results.
The reality is that results are the only things that have any meaning in life, the reasons don't mean anything. Either you get it or you don't, if you don't you have excuses and there are never any good excuses.
One issue is people are often willing to make promises and then not keep them and so you end up with a series of broken agreements. How often have you heard "I'll do it if I can" or one that always makes me smile "I'll try". Unfortunately, you'll never get what you want if you only 'try' to get it. The very definition of the word 'to make an attempt or effort to do something' should tell you everything you need to know.
What we say to ourselves has a powerful effect on the world around us
This statement is generally true because our body follows what our mind tells us is happening. In this context the thoughts of both our unconscious mind and conscious mind are important. For example, you can end up attracting things that you fear if you focus on them, by fearing that something will happen you play this image in your mind again and again. This means that your body acts as if the thing is happening and the outside world, in turn, reacts to that. You might get what your unconscious mind wants even if you consciously want something different. This is where an opportunity for excuses can creep in, and achieving what's really wanted fades away.
We do things unconsciously all the time, so it's time to become aware of your behavioural cues and what your innermost beliefs and thoughts really are.
Those who get the results they want have adopted a mindset of excellence. They appreciate that they alone are the creators of their life and so take ownership of the results they get and in doing so leave excuses behind. They take time to work on themselves and their own development by releasing negative emotion and also beliefs from the past that no longer serve them, they collapse negative states, apply new strategies that work, their conscious and unconscious mind is integrated, they set goals that are totally congruent with what they want, they focus on what they want. Their identity, purpose, values and beliefs are aligned with what they are doing and they take the right action.
They know that only by doing work on themselves first can they be in a position to get what they want from life and only then can they assist others too.
