Reasons and Solutions of Deformation of Aluminum Alloy Die Castings

The deformation problem of aluminum alloy die-casting parts in casting processing is a problem that is difficult to solve. Firstly, it is necessary to analyze the causes of deformation, and then take correct control measures for the deformation of the casting.

1.Features:

(1) Overall deformation

2.Reasons:

(1) Aluminum alloy die castings have poor structure;

(2) Mold opening is too early, casting rigidity is not enough

(3) Improper setting of ejector bar, uneven force when ejector

(4) Gate thickness is too thick, it is easy to deform when the pouring gate is cut off

(5) Caused by partial surface roughness, and the product is deformed when it is ejected.

(6) When the local temperature of the mold is too high, the product is not fully solidified, and the force is strong when it is ejected, causing deformation of the product.

3.Simulations:

(1) Improve the structure of aluminum alloy die-casting parts

(2) Reasonably adjust the pressure holding and mold opening day

(3) Reasonably set the ejection position and the number of ejector pins

(4) Change the gate position, make the gate to have a point , to reduce the thickness of the gate, in order to ensure the quality of the casting of the product, the product will not be easily deformed when the gate is cut off

(5) Strengthen the mold surface treatment to reduce the mold release resistance

(6) Control the temperature of the local mold to maintain the heat balance of the mold .

These problems can be controlled well in the formal die-casting manufacturers, not only the quality is guaranteed, but even the later maintenance is very meaningful. Therefore, we must choose a strong and professional manufacturer when ordering aluminum alloy die-casting parts.
