Reasons of Insufficient Head of the Slurry Pump
1. Confirm whether the slurry pump has cavitation. Cavitation will affect the head of the pump, so we need to check whether there is cavitation.
2. Confirm whether the impeller is seriously worn. After the slurry pump has been used for some time, the impeller will definitely wear out. If the impeller is found to be seriously worn, the impeller must be replaced.
3. Check whether the motor speed is lower than the speed required by the slurry pump. The slurry pump is generally driven by a motor, and the rated speed of the motor is fixed. If the slurry pump and motor are connected by a belt, we need to see if the pulley can reach the speed required by the pump.
4. Check whether there are leaks in the pipeline and pump chamber.
5. Adjust the outlet valve. If the head cannot be raised, the outlet valve can be closed a little to allow the slurry pump to have a pressure-holding process to raise the head.
