I started my professional photography career in 1993. In 2006 I took my love and passion for photography to the masses when he began offering my professional photography services for families and executives throughout New Jersey.

Like any other fledgling business, I struggled at the beginning working hard to find paying clients. With only a small budget for marketing, I ventured to learn some of the finer points myself to keep the startup costs down, ensuring my business would succeed.?

I learned the value of getting my photography business listed at the top of search engines. I focused my efforts on becoming a master of search engine optimization, seeking to move my website up in the search rankings. One significant initiative for doing this was incorporating a blog on my Rob Wilson Photography website, which wasn't common in 2006. I?accidentally?created keyword-rich blog content for my photography business using an early blogging platform called Blogspot (now Blogger). There was a month where the calls wouldn't stop. It changed my life and my business. The thought that I could make a living with my own business, doing what I loved, simply by blogging, was fascinating. Being an intellectually curious person, the obsession began.

My efforts in my business' search engine optimization paid off. Customers began calling who had found me through a simple search on the internet, with my photography website showing at the top of the page. New clients could now find me quickly, and I began expanding my offerings to corporate clients offering headshots and other marketing photography services. This was integral to the early success of Rob Wilson Photography.??

Over the years, I have continued growing and developing my photography business, offering everything from family photography to corporate headshots and product shoots. I continue to succeed with the search engines to drive new prospects to the website. Many of these businesses that find me on Google today will ask me what my secret sauce is to get my photography site listed at the top of the search results.?
