A reason to celebrate 2023

Dear followers,

As the year comes to an end, our agendas do not. With the multiple humanitarian crises in Gaza, Congo, Sudan, West Papua and beyond, we are flooded with reasons not to celebrate – but to mourn collectively. Nevertheless, as we take our collective pulse, we recognize this is a time to acknowledge the power of our collective action and all the ways we make a difference together. Fenomenal Funds is thrilled to share that we have not only reached our goal of funding towards the resilience and collaboration of women’s funds, we have exceeded it!

The final round of Resilience Grants totaling $3,300,000 for 44 women's funds members of the Prospera International Network of Women's Funds (INWF) have been approved. The New Venture Fund and Fenomenal Funds team are finalizing the grant agreements. These grants, made possible by the insightful guidance of our Advisory Committee and Steering Committee, will provide critical support for women's funds as they continue their vitally impactful work. We expect the grant funds to be distributed in January 2024. This exciting milestone powerfully demonstrates the strength of collaboration and unwavering commitment to uplifting and supporting the resilience of women's funds to carry out their mission for the gender justice movement. We thank the tireless work and steadfast commitment of the Advisory Committee and the Steering Committee, who worked cooperatively to ensure the thoughtful grantmaking process. We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues to make our grantmaking a reality!
