It seems strange does it not, that the US is kicking dust in the face of the leaders of largest politically integrated entity on this planet while kowtowing to a weaker number two. King Charles III is sovereign monarch of UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand (plus a few other minor players). Those named in the list have a population of 143 million and area of over 7 million square miles (2x US). Russia has same population, 146 million (in poorer health for the most past) and total territory of 6.6 million square miles. Both Charles III and Vladimir have access to similar amounts of natural resources at their disposal but Charles III rules an entity with combined GDP of $7.7T vs Russia at $2.2T. Otto von Bismarck called diplomacy 'war by other means', in this case we trading support from long standing, trusted allies with greater resources for a weaker, aging, inherently untrustworthy 'partner'. That is not how one wins wars. Rex Tillerson called it last time around.
