Is it Really Worth Settling for Mediocrity?

Is it Really Worth Settling for Mediocrity?

I’m serious.?

Do you think you were put on this planet to be average?

To meander along through life, unnoticed, disengaged, and apathetic?

Then why are you doing it?!

When you were a little kid, did you tell your parents you wanted to grow up and just squeak by, only have enough to pay bills month-to-month, and leave no impact on the world when you leave this life?

Did you tell them you wanted to get the absolute minimum out of the talent you were given, to work as little as humanly possible to make enough money to get by or to convince yourself that you work hard when everyone around you knows that’s not remotely true?

Whom are you lying to??It’s like people who cheat in golf.?Who are you actually cheating?

I had a very intense session with a client and their sales team last week, and something interesting happened.

They were struggling to make sales, week after week, and were frustrated as to why they weren’t getting the results they wanted.

We had a very frank discussion about how nonsensical it was to be frustrated with their lack of results when they’re doing absolutely NOTHING to deserve success.

They’re overtly not studying their craft, not practicing their pitch, not going through any of our training, not implementing new strategies, and not doing a damn thing differently, yet they’re all expecting different results.?Ummmm, ya, ok.

When I called them out on it, they apparently didn’t like it.?They didn’t say anything to me at the time, and still haven’t, but decided to talk trash behind my back and complain to their manager.

They didn’t want to hear the truth.?They want to continue ignoring the facts about their complete lack of drive, motivation, effort, hard work, and time invested in becoming better.

They just wanted to continue to skate through every day, collect their paychecks, keep blowing opportunities for the company they work for, and meander along in mediocrity.

And finally, when I asked them if they ever thought about the example they’re setting for their kids, they told me I “didn’t know them” and I “didn’t know their family.”

Let me share something with you all, and if you disagree, please feel free to share why you do.

You have ONE LIFE.?You have ONE SHOT on this planet to make a difference.

Every single one of you has the ability to be great, to change lives, to impact your family’s future forever.

Why are you blowing it?
