Really, when does it end?

In 2018, I posted an article that was driven by pure emotion but was focused on the tangible professional responsibility we all hold. Tonight, it's pure emotion. I know this may not be the right place to post such a personal message but at the moment I am heartbroken. It is beyond me that anyone has anything to say other than a deep expression of outrage at yet another school shooting and the horrific loss of beautiful young children, and a full and total commitment to taking action to stop this senseless obsession many in our country have with freedom of access to guns and the complete and utter distortion of what the 2nd Amendment actually means. We are not a 'third world' country yet unbiased statistics show that guns contribute to an outsized number of deaths in the U.S. beyond any other developed country. And we fail to understand and commit resources to the equally critical issue of mental health. We pretend to be, and project our great country as, a moral authority globally. We are NOT. Stop worrying about protecting our children from CRT, stop spewing endless conspiracy theories about child trafficking, stop spreading lies about elections, and start saving the lives of our children. The world is watching.
