Really Weak Branding

Certain companies have perceptions. While they no longer give to that charity I cannot pass Chick Fil-A without asking "How do you pray the gay away?" They do a lot of good charity work and at one time gave to gay conversion therapy.

Another story, another article. Domino's is "The pizza of last resort" even if they changed their recipe. Subway cannot shake "Middle school girls are hot" or even "The footlong sub is only eleven inches."

Then it really isn't a footlong. Small sub and pizza shops are always a better bet. I was nicely surprised by very large slices at Manhattan Pizza. It was in Sterling, Va and if I am in the area it merits a return visit.

A driver entered the building carrying a one gallon bottle of water. Eight pounds is not that heavy. Seeing this my response was "You could be kicked out of Planet Fitness."

What is called a "Judgement Free Zone" is like when a woman says "Don't judge." You are about to be handed a verdict regardless of a crime committed. Management at Planet Fitness does not want anyone to make progress.

I gravitated towards the most muscular at the gym. They attained a level. It is like making college a "Doctorate Free Zone" where everyone remains an undergraduate perpetually.

As long as they keep paying tuition the institutions would not care. Planet Fitness charges little in the hope that customers will not use their membership. When I had a gym membership it was used a few times per week. I never noticed anyone grunting excessively, was not overwhelmed that someone could lift an eight pound water bottle and no one gave me a second glance.

Until joining a gym with a swimming pool. Long before I was on LinkedIn there were men viewing my profile. Wouldn't you want to approach the ones who had the most success and see what their process was like? I aspired to the A students in school.

They were friendly. It didn't enhance my studies although I admired the work they put in. If someone brought a Double Gulp to Planet Fitness would they be reprimanded? It is "only" sixty-four ounces of soda.

Go big or go home. Unless I want pizza and bagels defeating the purpose of lifting weights or spending time on a treadmill- I rarely use treadmills. I have never used a Stairmaster.

Why pretend to walk up stairs when there are more stairs in the world waiting to be climbed? Take a walk. I have used elliptical machines. That is more comprehensive than walking down the street.

I did not carry a jug to the gym. Usually I visited the fountain which had someone filling their jug slowly. The importance of hydration should mean more than possibly offending someone who really does not want to work out.

Disclosure: occasionally I have attended gyms where people were judgmental and had bad attitudes. They are long gone and definitely forgotten. It has not happened in the twenty-first century. I am still debating whether to return to the gym. The one through the county is reasonably priced and has served my purposes without aspiring to mediocrity like one notorious chain.
