Is it really a warm desk???

For anyone who keeps their finger on the pulse when it comes to the movement of recruiters in the market, especially if they are a competitor of yours, then it will come as no surprise that the Glasgow Office Services team has lost a couple of Consultants recently. One of whom has gone to another agency in Glasgow to focus on Call Centre recruitment and the other accepted a once in a lifetime opportunity to go back to her old employer. I wish both ladies all the very best in their new careers and can't wait to catch up with them both at our next lodge date over the summer.

Luckily we have retained one of the most promising Consultants I've ever met and I'm excited about the opportunities these departures have created for her. She has gone from being the least experienced member of the team to the most and she has accepted that responsibility with gumption. The last couple of weeks have seen her really shine and she has the title of the highest placement value across our entire Scottish Office Services business. Not too bad for someone with 9 months experience.

Ultimately though, we have built a strong perm business in Glasgow over the last few years and (I love saying this part!!!) there is too much business for one Consultant to deliver the standard of service we expect for every single one of our clients and candidates.

In 2017 we made 1,057 perm placements within Office Services. Based on the existing Consultants current AIV she only needs to make 29 placements to hit her target this year!!! It doesn't take Carol Vorderman to work out that, that creates a huge opportunity for any new Consultant coming in to our business right now.

We will pass you clients, your managers will arrange meetings for you to meet your new clients, you will have jobs to work on straight away and on top of that you will benefit from industry leading training that will allow you, to not only build on the existing relationships but help you develop your sales skills to win your own business and solidify those warm relationships.

It's never easy to lose good Consultants but I have done my crying and now I am excited about bringing new talent into our team. It has been a long time since we lost anyone so this is exciting and I know that our proposition to attract good perm recruiters in an extremely competitive Office Services market is now stronger than it has ever been.
