It's hard to believe that in a time where virtually every street corner has some amount of video surveillance, that thieves still resort to these "old-timey" tactics for ill-gotten gain!

Unfortunately, anybody with a super duty pickup, that has weighed the risk of spending up to 10 years in prison, and still thinks that this is a good idea, may be able to thwart the basic defenses of many financial institutions.

While their may be no silver bullet to eradicate the "Hook & Smash", deploying these Island ATM Security Gates at strategic locations, may save a few headaches and some serious repair costs.

Unfortunately, it does still happen and it is one of the most prevalent threats for Island ATMs. However, no success with getting to the cash for these type of attacks on the Diebold Nixdorf Series terminals. It start with the brand, then the bollards just add more frustration to the criminal’s efforts.
