Is it really necessary to decentralize the Internet?
When Tim Berners Lee introduced the world to the wonders of the World Wide Web, it was just a handful of his websites.?
For newbies, the internet may still seem like a black box. When we want to do something we want to do, we google it, and our communication medium has changed from phone and mobile to Facebook and WhatsApp. Nevertheless, you are still in control. Ok, let me explain. Of course, you can publish whatever you want to publish on the Internet. But without the Google search engine, you'll never find it. Or imagine running a small business using the Amazon platform. Your life will be affected if the portal is closed. Or you may have heard about social media bans in some countries. All transactions conducted over the Internet always involve a third party. Call me an intermediary. Therefore, it is clear that internet freedom does not exist. You can't even control your own data. As of 2018, 4.1 billion people use the internet, more than half of the world's 7.7 billion people. So there is a strong need to find ways to control the internet before it controls us, and this is decentralization. By the way, it already is.
Founder Tim Berners-Lee worked with the concept of decentralization, his startup Inrupt, and his MIT project Solid to uncover the pitfalls of the internet. Yet, while professional hackers like Edward Snowden and Julian Assanche have shown the world how to manipulate and extract data, we still know nothing about these death traps.
How does blockchain technology enable decentralization? Blockchain technology, or simply blockchain, refers to a database that does not rely on a single entity, maintains a public ledger of all available information, and conducts peer-to-peer network transactions. The main goal of blockchain technology is to give users complete control over their data by removing it from third parties. Bitcoin brought the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to the world, but by 2017 the Bitcoin market plummeted from his 55% to 33%, and many other blockchain assets such as Ethereum and Blockstack fell. Crashed into space, Blockchain can form a platform for a decentralized transaction layer and protect data. To put things into perspective, imagine a platform where a driver and passenger can transact directly without using a third-party provider, his Uber.?
What is Blockstack or Solid? Will it replace the Internet?
It's a new internet, a parallel internet that provides the entire necessary infrastructure so that you can do anything, say, between two people, without third parties involved.
The result is a dynamic change in the power dynamics between large corporations and people, and in the new Internet, power belongs to all of us.
What's Changing in the New Decentralized Internet? The decentralized internet is:

1. Enhancing transparency and accountability
2. Open source
3. No third party interference
4. Data security, data can only belong to the user and can be manipulated
5. Form an incentive protocol.
We will also build a fair Internet ecosystem. The new Internet brings many challenges and limitations, but the possibilities are endless if we are willing to be a part of it.
