Realizing the full potential of Narrowband IoT..
It is easy to be fascinated, impressed and even overwhelmed about the evolution, pace and possibilities that the new mobile technologies offers. At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the exhibition itself are certainly paving the path towards 5G and NB-IoT.
Entering into the exhibition areas, it feels like being sucked directly into a full 4D experience of the internet itself. Imagine to tab a Google search string like “Mobile Connectivity” and then you get sucked into your search results stream, and just flowing into a journey of lights, color, sounds and impressive 4D presentations presenting it all.
At Trackunit A/S we are here with our partner Xtel, to meet with key players in mobile connectivity. Key purpose is to evaluate and discuss the full potential of Narrowband IoT, and the usage of the new and upcoming Mobile connectivity options that sorts under LTE Cat.1, Cat M1 and Cat. NB1.
At a global perspective more than 800 mobile operators are serving 220 countries with 2G, 3G and 4G network access. We are completing our meetings with the key mobile operators like Deutsche Telekom, Verizon, Orange and AT&T all playing a central role in the deployment of the new LTE standards. Discussing deployment roadmaps, business potentials, subscription models, roaming and coverage, we have gained a lot of valuable info.
Furthermore we are invited to attend, evaluate and discuss the different LTE technology live demonstrations from semiconductor and mobile module providers like Intel, Qualcomm, Telit, Gemalto and Sierra Wireless. We have even been able to see live tests compliant with the LTE Standards performed by Rhode & Schwarz.
Continuing with further meetings today, we are certainly finding our way to use the full potential of Narrowband IoT, and how to be able to develop new products and services to compliment our current state of the art Telematics product offerings at Trackunit A/S.
