Realization - Admit Change is Needed

Realization - Admit Change is Needed

Our days are full of change. Many changes come our way that we have no control over. We'll discuss those in latter issues. I want to discuss the changes that we know we have to make, the changes that require us to take action of some sort to facilitate those changes. The life changes that will salvage relationships, save your life, or bring an end to the inevitable or continual devastation. If we can help you see change more clearly and understand the "anatomy" of change we will have gone a long way to winning the battle.

Let's look at the 9 steps to change:

  1. Identify/Realization - You have to see yourself for what you are and admit that there is a better way, a better path. This is your Goal Change.
  2. Self Acknowledgment - You must acknowledge that you, or the cause, is worth the work that is needed to bring about this change. That you are strong enough to follow through and bring about lasting change.
  3. Desire/Want - You really have to desire the change, you have to have the "want to".
  4. Motivation - Identify a motivator, or motivation
  5. Micro Changes - These are all of the "little" changes required to bring about the desired result, or ultimate Goal Change.
  6. Plan - Small steps become big steps when taken one after another.
  7. Commitment - You have to commit to see it through. No quitting. If you never quit, you will never fail.
  8. Execution - I know you think this is the call to action, but I mean this literally. Now it's time to kill the bad habits and create the good ones that bring about the Goal Change.
  9. Find someone to help you. To coach you through to conclusion. You will need someone to talk to, to hold you accountable, and to encourage you. This can't be a friend or loved one. Those relationships are too personal and won't work well.

We will discuss each step in an upcoming issue beginning with Step 1 today. If you happen to miss the discussion of a previous step, please pause and review previous issues. Please SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel to make sure you receive the very latest content.

Personal growth and responsibility have never been the issue for me. Seems to me these assessment points need to be considered by management. As a PM I find budget/program/project goals set by the organization itself that challenge current operating or culture mindset get attacked. I am always amazed when management who spearheades or desires change have little personal skills to weather change. Motovation gor change is easy. You just have to want to do and be better and produce great results. Creating a culture of peraonal responsibility, integrity and preformance takes leadership.

Such a great topic to continue to explore. Being able to recognize where change is necessary (instead of just ignoring it) is a crucial first step. Robert Johnson

Thank you Robert. You sound and talk very different to how I envisioned you from the pics and the messages. You sounded to me like a dynamic manager in the business world, who was coaching on how to react in business. However, I did not expect you to be talking on your own addictions or personal fights around that. My late father was an alcoholic, and I dealt with having to grow up around a broken home. At the time I was ashamed and though it was an exception rather than the norm for a lot of people. My daughter fell into her own way and through her struggles I learnt that I was an enabler, which is also an addiction that I need to deal with. That is beside my own personal problems and addictions. Sometimes we have more than one. I love what you doing here and I would like to reach out to you on a more personal level if I may some time in the future, possibly via mail if you do not object to that. Thanks for what you are doing and sharing on behalf of a world that needs healing.
