Anyone can experience happiness when they commit and make happiness a priority. Your energy and vibrations are working every moment. These vibrations are your contribution to your life so are you serving peace or are you vibrating anger and fear? Never forget that your vibration is your responsibility. Do these vibrations stay at peace during whatever happens to you? The struggle is always internal.
Instead of being taught thoughts of satisfaction, we are taught to always think that we need more or that we need to be more. Thoughts are a continuous loop, and we aren’t always able to control when they happen. This includes manifestation. It is important that I let you know that I don’t buy into the 'manifest your thoughts' programming, simply because it teaches people to only ‘manifest’ what you can purchase. What the mind does, is create thoughts that want you to believe you have the power to manifest anything you want but in reality we simply experience and receive whatever we were destined to.
Over the years, I have seen that we cannot totally eliminate negative thinking. There’s no new thought under the sun and we need to learn to accept these negative thoughts about self if we are truly invested in contentment. Your thoughts are not you. Negative thinking is not a part of your identity. Thoughts equal inspiration and these inspirations create stories. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to feeling a particular way because of a single thought that turned into a story in our heads. Don’t get me wrong, whatever you feel is real but the why is a lie.

The only reason thoughts and your ego have power is because something outside of your internal self has been given power. The emotions without the label don’t create a disconnect until you add the expectation of how you should feel. Your vibrating energy of contentment should dictate how you feel. Thoughts don’t have power unless you believe they have power. The ego-driven thoughts are there to make us feel bad about ourselves. Just because you think it, doesn’t mean you have to believe it. They are like clouds; nothing of substance and nothing to hold onto.
To go back to the issue of manifesting, replacing negative thoughts with positive affirmations is unfeasible. What we can do is recognize what we are able to and let go of the frustration about the presence of negative thought. Witness them but do not take part in them. It is the practice of experiencing but not being the thoughts that makes the difference with thoughts. Starving the ego and preventing it from digging into anything allows you to understand universal inspiration. You can feel it as a shadow of oxygen throughout the body and it is this tangibility that sets it apart from the ego.? You do not need to feel peaceful to be at peace. You are a universal body in a physical form and that is not always peaceful, but you can prioritize contentment.
