Its Lunch Club time!
real5 lunch club - May 2019
These meetings come around fast don’t they! I can hardly believe that we’ll be half way through the year next month!
What a year it has already been; first and foremost, I should talk about our new friends over at real5 Chester.
For the past 12 months real5 has been by baby.
I’ve loved seeing it grow from a little dream of mine, into something I’m immensely proud of. Naturally with every child, it comes time for them to spread their wings, and fly the nest.
When that time comes, you have to hope the very best person will be there to take care of what you’ve done so much to nurture.
In Owen and real5 Chester, I have just that.
Owen has already done an amazing job in launching the new branch of real5, a number of members have already signed up, and many more are interested in getting involved - and not just for the free lunch!
Owen understands all the core values that makes real5 tick, and nothing will stand in the way of his success.
Everybody in the group can testify for his important desire to work hard and positive energy - he really lights up a room, doesn’t he!
Sadly, he couldn’t light up our May lunch club as he was on the hunt for even more members - so you had to make do with me as usual!
Many thanks go to Institution, and in particular chef Michelle, who hosted a lovely afternoon full of great chat and even better food, yet again.
Welcomed down to Institution were four fresh new members and a couple of extra guests, who we hope to see more of in the future. Virtual PA Angela, insurance broker Andy, artist Ben and workspace provider Sioban are now all full time members of our group, so get your one-to-ones booked (and logged in the system!) to take advantage of the best everyone has to offer.
Member of the month was Becs Bate, who has been putting in so much work to collaborate with fellow real5ers this month. I’m sure you’ll all agree she’s a worthy winner - though I’m not certain it was wise to give her two bottles of prosecco, even if she fairly won selfie of the month as well!
Becs is running a LinkedIn workshop on June 19th, with some Facebook masterclasses following in July. Be sure to contact her to get ahead of the curve with all things social media.
This month we also saw our biggest ever referral. A whopping £1.8 million deal was agreed, so somebody took home a very tidy sum for themselves; here’s a challenge, top that if you can!
Gary Pemberton also bagged himself a fifty quid referral cheque and donated it back to the St. Rocco’s fund, so thank you very much for that Gary.
I can’t quite believe I’m saying this after the May we’ve had, but June is set to be even bigger and better!
David Smith and I have been scouting out the very best bars and restaurants in Knutsford ahead of our official real5 Knutsford launch, which takes place on June 26th - it’s a thankless job, but somebody has to make sure the food and drink is on point!
It would be brilliant to see some of our current members out in support of David, so please try and get down for there for the evening if you can, and if not, spread the word around to your friends over in Knutsford.
Finally, I’ll see you all at Walton golf course next month for another lunch meeting to remember. We’ll have a bite to eat, then head out on the course - don’t worry about being a professional, it’s a fun and games with real5, see you soon everybody
