You would think that it's a simple thing we can all agree on.

You know things like:

• The Office was one of the greatest shows of all time
• People that don't use blinkers should be banned from the road
• We know our phone is the devil but we can't put it down

Yet when the term "work-life" balance pops up, folks get all in a tizzy.

• "You gotta hustle and grind 24/7!"
• "My calling is my work...you can't expect me to ignore what I was put on this earth to do"
• "My work and personal life are all rolled into one"

I've never advocated that you make only enough money to survive on. ?Then you should try skating by the rest of your while you are life clipping coupons and driving a 12-year-old Nissan Altima with over 180k miles.? ?The old Altima part may be a personal one:)

However, other than helping people with your unique set of skills (Liam Neeson would be proud), the purpose of creating your own venture was probably for freedom.

And when you're glued to your business, then it's hard to have real freedom.
