Or a Real World "Reality-Check" in the case of Product Safety and the on going occupational health of Display Screen user operators in the 21st Digital Century without PPE in the first place.
For sure, back in the early 1990's, there was a tokenistic response to an EU Directive by UK in the form of the 1993 DSE Regulations later found to be completely ineffective.
Along with the myth propagated at the time that stress related vision-loss was nothing more than a "Temporary Anomaly" and after a good night sleep all would be well in the morning - NOT
However, in recognition of this misrepresentation, effectively blaming the user operators vision-loss on them, employers had to accept the operator was entitled to Free Eye Examination and if, formally diagnosed with vision loss they would then, qualify for so called, single prescription PPE Screen Glasses that needless to say did not protect them from progressive myopic or asthenopic disease returning to their unmodified DSE.
By 2016 the WHO Global International Classification of Diseases 10th revision was identifying "eye-strain" as an associated natural adaptation to binocular close-up vision stress under the heading of "Asthenopia".

This did trigger some reaction leading to the introduction of up-dated "Accessibility Regulations" but, solely for the minimal generic "Colour Contrast Validation" of Websites expediently ignoring or omitting the primary product every has to use to access the IOT our display screens.
Whilst 58% of user operators maybe disabled by induced visual repetitive stress injuries I do not believe for one moment they all arrived with preexisting disabilities accepting the UK Government did propose that 10% of their employees (43,000) would probably suffer Dyslexia that does not translate into 4.3 million DSE operators experiencing debilitating CVS, Computer Vision Syndrome presenting in myopic and asthenopic disease.
So whether back in the office workspace or working from home you are welcome to participate in the S.M.A.R.T. Foundation UK on-going Beta Trial prior to the Medical Clinical Trials including Biometrics Screening.
