The REAL Source of Stress

The REAL Source of Stress

About four years ago, I began to gain a new perspective on how our individual, moment-to-moment experiences are formed and their origins.

As I delved deeper into challenging this new understanding, I realized the resilience and closed nature of the inside-out perspective. It revealed, in some way, the truth within. I often reminded both myself and others struggling with various situations that "It’s just a thought." However, I now recognize how dismissive that sounded and how ineffective it truly is.

Even though our experiences are crafted in our minds through our thoughts, telling someone "It’s just a thought" overlooks the significance of these mental processes. This advice often falls short, as it's difficult to recognize the truth in that statement when overwhelmed by our thoughts and emotions. This is similar to telling a child, who has just awoken from a nightmare, that their fear is unfounded. The calmness in a child comes not from denial, but from allowing their own thoughts to settle, helping them to see more clearly that it was, indeed, just a nightmare.

To nearly all my coaching clients, I highly recommend that they watch the following video clips featuring Dr. George Pransky . The insights they gain are remarkable, shifting their view on stress and guiding them back to a state of calmness and clarity.

Therefore, I encourage you to take the time to watch these videos and temporarily suspend your preconceptions and knowledge about stress. As Tom Chi eloquently states in his renowned TEDx Talk, "Knowing is the enemy of learning."

Let’s embark on this journey of understanding together, redefining our relationship with stress, and opening ourselves up to new, transformative insights.

Looking forward to read your reflection when you seen the videos.

Warm regards, Daniel
