Here we are again...
Most of the networking tips that you hear about are quite superficial... in the context that... yes they will be sort of helpful... up to a point... without actually telling or sharing anything of use with you... and they all miss the mark when it comes to laying down a solid 'foundation' that is critical... BEFORE you even go out and meet your first prospect in a networking situation...
If you don't know or understand these hidden steps to networking... then it is most likely that YOUR networking efforts will be less than stellar...

The third and probably not even considered secret of networking (and it's one you kinda gotta do)...
The one little word that empowers you immediately!
Many of you have become 'people pleasers' without even realizing how that happened.
That's not altogether a bad thing... but in the context of your personal and business success... it is very bad.
You tend put everyone else first, saying yes to loads of requests that keep you busy and hinder you from pursuing your own goals and dreams.
Some of you have nurtured your family... putting yourself last, waiting for your turn to come... eventually (if ever)...
While others are in jobs that are not particularly gratifying or satisfying.

To be a good communicator and relationship builder requires more than just talking and having conversations with people.
It is about valuing your time and developing who you are... for yourself and with others.
I know, I am promising an insight into connecting, communicating and relationship building, but I think you will find that this is also very much about restarting your love affair with yourself... as you make time to become who you truly want to be.
To begin to learn these powerful skills... you’ll need to fly solo, every now and again, while you focus on some of the ideas that I will share with you... making some time here and there in your already busy lives.
With this in mind here are two small but very powerful letters you may like to practice in front of the mirror.? They are N and O.
Combine them and they make the word ‘NO!’ (very useful when people are interrupting your flow and taking your valuable time).
Go on... pucker up and try it now in front of the mirror... (sounds silly but you really need to do it... go on... LOL)...
Also a good habit to get into... is to either turn off or put your phone on silent/airplane mode... when you practice these ideas. (remember to turn it back on though), and if possible be away from your computer and other electronic devices.
It IS possible to please others and yourself, but it’s also about noticing what you really need... and making the time for it...
I guarantee your time will be well spent and the results will speak for themselves!
