The Real Secret to Success Nobody Talks About – Are You Ready for It? #10

Helping You Use Vulnerability as a Superpower To Create the Life You Actually Want.
"Success is the Progressive Realization of a Worthy Ideal"
– Earl Nightingale
This quote has always resonated with me. It’s a powerful reminder that success isn’t a destination, but a journey of pursuing something meaningful. Whether it’s personal growth, business goals, or becoming a better leader, the real measure of success is progress toward a vision you truly believe in.
How a Simple 30-Day Challenge Transformed My Mindset and Boosted My Sales
One of the first pieces of personal development I dove into was Earl Nightingale’s The Strangest Secret. A friend recommended it and threw down a challenge: “Listen to it, follow his steps for 30 days, and if it doesn’t work—well, at least you gave it a shot.” Fair enough, right? So, I took the challenge head-on.
One of Earl’s key actions is to write your goal on a card. On the front, write down your big, bold goal—the one that feels a little scary but exciting. On the back, you jot down an inspiring quote that gives you a boost every time you see it. Simple enough. Then, you carry that card with you everywhere. It’s like having a personal success reminder right in your pocket. Every time you reach into your pocket, you’re like, "Oh yeah, I’m on a mission!" ???♂?
For me, my goal was to hit $5K in sales in a month. My biggest month up to that point? $2.5K. So, I set a goal that felt ambitious, knowing that even if I didn’t quite hit $5K, I’d still be way ahead. On the back of my card, I wrote a quote from Les Brown that always stuck with me:
“You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.” ??
With my goal front and centre, I started doubling down. More calls, more leads, more creativity in my approach. I was reaching out to clients on LinkedIn, tweaking my strategy, and just grinding smarter, not harder. ??
Did I hit $5K? Well… I got to $4.5K! Was I disappointed? Heck no! I celebrated that win with a mini shopping spree because hitting $4.5K was way better than where I started. Plus, that experience inspired me to do it all over again the next month, with even bigger goals.
Here’s the kicker: It wasn’t just about hitting a number. The magic came from focusing on my goal daily. Every time I touched that card, it reminded me to think about my goal and take action. The idea is simple—we become what we think about. And if we’re thinking about our goals 5, 10, or even 20 times a day, they start to shape our reality.
So, if you haven’t tried it yet, grab a card. Write down your goal. Pick a quote that fires you up, and carry that card with you. It might just be the boost you need to hit your version of that $5K
Here are 4 key takeaways:
1. Success is Personal:
It’s not about what society defines as success—it’s about chasing YOUR goals, ideals, and passions. Progress is what matters. Define your "worthy ideal" and measure your growth toward it every day. ??
2. Consistency is Key:
Small, consistent actions lead to bigger results. Success doesn’t come from one giant leap but from continuous, steady progress. ?? Take one step today that gets you closer to your vision, no matter how small.

3. Mindset Over Outcome:
Shift your focus from the result to the daily progress. Celebrate the process and embrace the lessons learned along the way. Success is about evolving, not perfection. ??

5 个月Great Richard Spencer! I really like the idea of only following YOUR goals and not the perception of success created by others. To really succeed, I think this is crucial. What’s your take on this?
