Is this the REAL reason you are stressed, anxious or overwhelmed?

Are you stressed, anxious or overwhelmed?

If you’ve struggled with anxiety, stress, or overwhelm, then you may have asked yourself: If I know that I am safe and that there is really nothing to worry about in my life, so why do I feel this way??

You may be successful in your job and generally in your life, but there is one root cause of fear and anxiety that is often overlooked: The disconnection from our hearts.

A client once told me that her anxiety stopped when we started doing the work together and she started to be honest with herself.?

She started to realised where she was out of alignment in her work and in her relationships by diving into the subconscious belief, inner child and shadow work that she was doing with me.?

At work she was constantly taking on too much. She was putting all of her self-worth into her work, and ultimately became a workaholic, in order to prove herself. She realised that, although she excelled in her current career and it provided great financial safety and security, she was no longer fulfilled… and was seeking a deeper meaning and purpose to her life!?

She had given up on dating because she was so afraid to have her heartbroken again. So she threw herself into the things she felt she could control. The things she was good at and excelled at, which was her career, despite a deep down, not really making her happy!?

She was spiralling down an avenue of stress and anxiety every morning because she was ignoring parts of herself, who she truly was out of fear!?

A fear to try something different, a fear of failure, a fear of the unknown, a fear that her financial security would disappear, a fear of being hurt, a fear of not being good enough!

She was keeping herself stuck in her own self imposed prison, staying small and not being true to herself!??

Whether you are troubled by anxiety, depression, loss, grief, whether you question your self-worth, or are caught up in compulsive behaviour – all of these struggles share a common theme: they reflect a broken relationship to the core of your being, your own heart.

It is when we are disconnected from our heart and out of integrity with our truth that our subconscious creates anxiety, to alert us, that we are off track.

I have experienced personally and countless times with my clients, that the further we are out of alignment, the more anxious we feel.?

But how do we reconnect with the innate wisdom and truth of our hearts, when all we can feel is anxiety and pain?

Our heart and mind are meant to work together. When we are detached from our heart, the mind resists change. The mind identifies with our beliefs (often limiting), and without the guidance of the heart, it becomes fearful and defensive, and goes into lock-down. Especially if we have been let down, hurt or disappointed in the past. (Which we all have been!)

Our broken heart can be the opening through which we find our way back home, if we use it to raise our awareness of who we are!?

Change originates in the heart, and the heart literally teaches the mind.

As we create a deeper, truer relationship within us, it is reflected into our relations with everyone else, our purpose and life itself.?
